Two Cards From Sunday

I meant to come back the past couple of days and post the two other cards I made on Sunday, but that obviously didn't happen. So, today you get a twofer. *Ü* Enjoy!

This card was inspired by this one I saw in my Reader. I really liked the feel of the card.
I switched it up a little as you can see.
The pattern paper is Collectable Notable from My Mind's Eye (6x6 pad)
The cardstock is Twilight from CTMH)
The ribbon is from CTMH
The flower is cut from Flower Shoppe and my Cricut and inked with Tim Holtz Wild Honey distress ink
The leaves are punched from a Martha Stewart punch.
The honeycomb embossing folder is a new one for the Cuttlebug.
The pearl is Recollections brand from Michaels.
I also used Nestabilites circle and scallop circle.

The next card was inspired by one my good friend, Barb shared here on her blog. Barb is the queen of adding lovely details to her cards and while I didn't add any sparkle, I'm pretty pleased with the final result.
The technique is called triple stamping or something like that. You cut the three pieces of cardstock you are going to stamp on and lay them on top of each other, adhering them a bit so they don't move. Then you stamp your image. Once done, then you mat the pieces, which hides any imperfections in the stamping. Very easy steps for a look that has a lot of impact, as Barb said.

I used a stamp set from Close To My Heart, but it doesn't have a name on it. It does have a 25th Anniversary sticker on it and some stamps that say i am... I liked this flower image. I used Sunset ink and at the last minute decided to add the black centers. I liked the contrast quite a bit.
The label is a cut from Artiste and I added some pearls for a little extra interest.
The Happy Birthday is from Birthday Basics from Papertrey Ink.

Hope you are having a good week.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

These are both so pretty. I love the honeycomb embossing folder on the first one as it adds so much dimension.

And what a cool look the second card has. I've seen that technique before and yours looks amazing.

And I'm not sure but I think that stamp set was from the Tickled Pink collection that was offered as an incentive.

I just LOVE your cards, Jeanne! The first one is so bright and cheerful, reminds me of Spring. And your triple time card is gorgeous! GREAT idea to add the touches of black...looks very classy and elegant. The pearls are the perfect finishing touch. LOVE IT!
