Kindergarten Hoedown!

Happy Wednesday! Well, I've not made into my little corner much this week so far. I wandered in yesterday for a few minutes, but didn't finish anything, sorry!

I have this cute picture to share though. The parents were invited to come to school and watch the students perform a little musical during their Specials time. I need to go through and edit a bunch of the pictures I took, but this one didn't have any other kids' faces in it, so thought it was okay to share.

Amy's in 2nd grade now and this is the first time the parents have been invited to watch something like this! I think the school has had some turnover in Music teachers. The current teacher just started there this year and she has really taken the bull by the horns so to speak. The kids were so excited to share with us. It was a coordinated effort, too. They made their vests in Art class and we added the bandanas before they went on stage. The all participated really well and the performance was just adorable! Some students had a line to say and those who didn't have a line got to ride the stick pony (Smokey was his name). Jessica told me she didn't want to say a line...she wanted to ride the pony and she did a great job of it, too!

On Monday I was without my computer because a fan was going out and it sounded like it was possessed! Steve took the fan out so I could try to find a replacement. Wouldn't you know...it wasn't a universal size fan, so no one had the correct one. However, the gentleman at Radio Shack said it might just need a little oil to lubricate it. Steve told me when I shared this that that was his back-up plan. So...why did it take him a week of the fan making increasing amounts of noise before he did anything? So anyway, I used the girls' computer some on Tuesday and man oh man it made me appreciate my computer even more!

Oops!

I've been trying to give my blog a face-lift using a blog in a box tutorial and I keep getting an error message. I am copying the html code that was provided, but apparently there must be a boo-boo in there as the same error code keeps coming up.

Unfortunately, one of the drawbacks of messing with the "code" is that you lose all your previous settings and go back to bare bones. So, now I'm back to square one on the blog look.

Edited to Add: By the time this goes out to subscribers you'll see it fixed. Earlier version had none of the goodies you see after 9pm Sunday.

Oh well...this is an instance where I know just enough to make me dangerous...I may email the designer to see if there is something I am missing even though I am following her directions to the letter.

On a fun note...I discovered you can add a plug in to Live Writer to allow you to add smileys and emoticons. LOL I had tried to download from Smiley Central, but it doesn't work for me-probably because I am using Google Chrome and not Internet Explorer. I ended up clicking on a button in my sidebar (in Live Writer) on the right of my screen that says...add a plug-in and it took me to a page (or rather several pages) of plug-ins...I downloaded the smileys one and restarted Live Writer and it's now an option to insert a smiley!

Okay...enough of that...back to trying to figure out what to do to get a nice looking blog again.

A Cool Video and Amy's Pumpkin

I'm not huge on passing along videos, but this one was pretty cool. I saw it on Diana Gibb's blog and thought it was too fun not to share. I didn't know these guys are the ones who started the whole Coke/Mentos thing.

And here are a couple of pictures of Amy and her pumpkin. She grew this in our garden this year. We got lots of vine...but only the one pumpkin. She's gone out to check on it regularly and tonight she and Steve hauled it in.

After taking a couple of pictures with it, she decided it was cold and ran to get her blankie for it to warm it up. Silly girl! *Ü*

 

Anyway...hope you enjoy. Hopefully I'll be back later but it's birthday party day, so it could just be photos from that. Ü

Back in Business!

I needed groceries this morning, so I headed out to Walmart after dropping Amy off at school. Steve told me to find a cheapo card reader today. It appears the one in my computer is shot. (thank goodness it's the reader and not the card with all the pictures on it!) I just plugged it in and it looks like I am back in business.

I wanted to share just a couple of pictures right now as I have to leave in a few minutes to get the girls from school. Sandy took us fishing on Sunday at a local park. She and her son Jeremy (14) tried to fish, but decided it was just too much fun helping the girls and they soon abandoned any attempts to catch a fish on their own. Amy caught 3 fish this time. And Jessica met with success herself. She caught FOUR fish! This trip was her first attempt at fishing in Sioux Falls, usually she is content to watch. You should have seen the look on her face when she realized she actually caught one! She proudly emphasizes the four when she tells you and slyly adds that Amy only caught three. LOL

Sandy caught a tin can which you can sort of see slightly left of center in the photo.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I caught a hook in my cheek, but not too deep. Sorry no pictures of that one.

Did You Miss Me?

Happy Monday Evening!

I'm sorry I have been so quiet. A week ago today we got a phone call letting us know that Steve's older brother passed away. He was 51 and had a massive heart attack. Steve wanted all of us to go to Sioux Falls, South Dakota together. Airfare was way too pricey so we drove, leaving early Thursday morning and just got home a couple of hours ago. I didn't want to announce to the world that we would be gone for several days.

The girls and I didn't attend the wake or funeral, though. I thought they were way too young to be exposed to that, especially for an uncle they didn't know. Steve agreed and then doubly agreed after returning from the wake. I didn't know this brother well at all, having only met him once or twice in the time I've known Steve. He lived an hour away from Sioux Falls and rarely made the trip to SF when we were in town. It helped Steve and the family that we (the girls and I) made the trip as well so it was worth it.

While the family was off for the sad event activities, the girls and I did a few things together. The main being going to visit The Sertoma Butterfly House. We'd gone last year, but I knew they would enjoy a return visit and it would get their minds off the fact that Daddy was at a funeral. This butterfly house is quite a bit smaller than the one here in Colorado by where we live, but I have to admit that the butterflies there are much more active than the ones here! Must be the humid air. LOL We enjoyed ourselves and I took a bunch of pictures. Unfortunately my computer card reader is not recognizing my media card right now, so I can't access them to share.

Yesterday we stayed an extra day because Steve's sister Sandy wanted to take the girls fishing. We had a wonderful Sunday together. Went fishing (Amy even hooked my cheek-ouch-but I'm okay...was just her biggest catch of the day, LOL), then played in the nearby playground. Off to lunch at McDonald's, then we went to another park that had a racquetball court and they all hit the balls against the wall. Amy really enjoyed doing this and I see a purchase of racquetball rackets in our near future. A nice meal with most of the family last night rounded out the day.

I was able to sneak away for a bit on my own Friday morning and I checked out a couple of stamping/scrapping stores in the area. One is called The Stamping Garden and I finally found the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder there! Another store was called R Scrapbooking. There was a 3rd store I wanted to see, but it apparently closed this past summer. :( Thanks to the GPS unit we have, I was able to get around with no problems.

I'd love to share some pictures, but it will have to wait until I can get this computer to see the card.

Until then, there's a somewhat brief update of what I've been up to.  Now I need to get to bed so that I can be rested to get the girls off to school in the morning.

Greetings, Visitors...

I haven't had a chance to create yet today. And last night I was recuperating from a fall off my bike! Yes, I tried riding my bike last night and it actually was fine-no pain or anything except a little discomfort when I stopped and put the foot down. It was the getting into the driveway that proved difficult. Somehow I managed to bump into the sloped curb instead of riding up the dang thing. I fell to the right and had to use my foot to try to stop my fall. Thankfully the ankle seems to be fine. Whew! But I managed to scrape up my elbow in the process. Always an adventure with me, trying to do everyday things, and getting unexpected results. LOL I have not fallen off my bike since I was a kid, so it was embarrassing to say the least.

The girls have been anxious to go back to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. And just last week there was a news story about a couple of dinosaurs they were putting up near the parking garage. So we decided to go this morning. Here's what we saw:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The parking garage goes down 2 levels I think, so he's a pretty tall dude. Obviously, they aren't quite finished with construction yet, but he's pretty darn impressive. I am not sure of the name of the big dinosaur, but I think it starts with a "c" cammeranosaurus...or something like that. The little guy is down toward the lower level on that ledge you can see in the 4th picture.

Upon entering the museum, we discovered we were a week early for the new dinosaur exhibit. Ah well...the girls had fun and Steve and I decided we'd come back in a few weeks to check it out. One of the areas we went to is called Space Odyssey and I couldn't resist taking these two shots of Daddy helping his girls take "pictures" from the space machine. He loves that they are completely interested in space type stuff. Ü

After we got home from the museum, with promises to the girls of going again very soon, and I rested my foot for a little bit. Then I ventured to a local mall to see if I could find some jeans that actually fit. (the jeans I'm currently wearing are just about ready to fall apart) First of all, I am NOT a mall shopper. I feel very out of place in most of them and this particular one, especially. Most of the shoppers live well above our income bracket. I feel frumpy going there. But the store I wanted to try is no longer in the mall I'm more comfortable going to. Anyway, talk about an exercise in humility and futility. I tried a few jeans on, but they were a no-go. I tried a few tops on and actually got tangled up in one as I was trying to put it on. I gave up there and thought I'd try another store nearby. Went in there and literally gasped at the prices of the jeans. Over $100! To some that may not seem like a lot, but for me, it's way too much. I figured I'd depressed myself enough for one day and went home. With those promises to myself to lose some weight so I can fit into jeans at the stores I frequent more often. Sigh.

Shopping for clothes has always been so difficult for me. I'm short, have just about no waist, and am broad shouldered. If I can find something that fits around my waist, it's huge on my hips and thighs. My bust is larger in size and that coupled with my broad shoulders makes buying fitted tops difficult. So I resort to sweatshirts and jeans in the winter and t-shirts and jeans or shorts in the summer. Not the most flattering wardrobe. I don't like feeling discouraged, so I'd rather buy crafting stuff than clothing!

Didn't mean to be a downer. Sorry about that, but our morning was fun! I got some fun photos to scrap, and memories of family time were shared. That's always a good thing!

Boy Am I Beat!

Sorry, no photos to share today. I've been cleaning up around the house like a mad woman most of the day. It's started innocently enough...I needed to do laundry. I changed the sheets on the beds. I cleaned up in my computer corner, since the table that was next to my computer is now my new craft desk, the printer and other equipment are sitting on the floor for the time being. There were tons o' cord from all the plugs that I decided to try to neaten up. The fireplace is right next to my computer desk on the other side, and was full of ashes from a "bonfire" of twigs and such Steve set a few weeks ago. Those got dumped, which meant I had to sweep up. LOL Then I decided to go through the girls' dresser drawers and pull out what hasn't been worn/too small/too worn out while they were at school (oh so much easier to do it this way-not leaving room for oh no, I HAVE to keep that even though it's 3 sizes too small-it's my favorite....fill in the blank). Since I had so much laundry to do, I figured half their clothes were getting washed anyway, it shouldn't/didn't take too long. And so it went all day. Dusting, vacuuming...oh my! I sat down for a few minutes and Steve walked in the door. The first time I sat down all day! LOL I know that most of my work isn't visible, but it sure makes me feel better knowing it's done!

My feet are tired, my legs are tired and my back is tired! I'm tired from top to bottom, back to front, but in a good way. Ü

She Gets It and Says It SO Well...

If you aren't a reader of Jessica Sprague's blog, I have to say, you are missing out on some goodness. I just read her latest post and immediately felt the need to jump on my blog to tell you to go look and read.  She has such a way of expressing herself through pictures and words that touches my heart. It's a great reminder of what I aspire to in  my blogging and scrapbooking. She's real and honest. Testing Live Writer

I'm just doing this test post to see how this Live Writer thing I keep hearing about works. I subscribe to a blog titled, Organized Mom and today she had a post about blogging in new ways where she talks about Live Writer. Click here to read it. Since it's free and free is good, I downloaded and (with her help, cuz I'm a dork sometimes) installed it. It's supposed to make the whole blogging experience easier. It's a "What You See Is What You Get" situation. As you type in, what you are seeing is how it will look on the blog. It seems to be easy so far.  I am going to post a picture and see how that works...

Oh that's cool! I added a border!  This is a flower from a plant Steve's been growing this season. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but he's been enamored of it for a long time. Some neighbors had the plant growing sort of wild in their front yard and Steve really liked the blooms. He tried getting seeds from the plant, seeing if he could get a runner, whatever he could think of, but nothing worked to get a plant off the neighbor's. Then they pulled them all out! So, he's searched the past year or so for a plant just like it and we think we have a winner!

I think that's a good test run. Let's see how posting works...

Seems To Be Improving...

My ankle, that is. The swelling is going down and the bruising is lessening. Whoo hooo.

I actually bought an ankle support and returned the air cast today. Let me share why. The air cast (which I just now realized I never took a picture of, d'oh) was comprised of two plastic pieces that were molded to semi fit a leg on the inside and outside. Attached to these plastic pieces were two plastic "bags" with foam inside. They were about 1/4 inch thick. The "bags" were attached to the plastic with adhesive. Think of wide double stick tape. One puts the plastic pieces with the bags on either side of the leg and run two wide pieces of velcro tape wrap around your leg to hold the cast in place. There was a strip of fabric across the bottom to "hold" the unit ( so it wouldn't ride up or off the leg I guess). Well, in less than a week of wearing this device I noticed the bags were slipping off the plastic pieces! The instructions said to wear this unit with laced shoes. Sounds good in theory, but I'd have to get a shoe a couple of sizes bigger. There was no way on this earth I was gonna fit my foot with this contraption on into a shoe. So I compromised and wore tennis shoes that have no backs. I think they call them mules. I also had to put rubber bands around the velcro bands because they were flapping in the breeze. Oh and I had to wear a tube sock to allow for ventilation. I paid a decent chunk of change for this device and was extremely annoyed that it was not living up to what it was supposed to do.

This morning I found an ankle brace that supports the whole ankle area and allows for compression for the swelling and it cost less than half of the air cast. I think it gives better support too. And I don't have to wear a tube sock or anything!

I also figured out that recently something must have been updated in my Internet Explorer (or Norton) which causes my Gmail to almost grind to a halt. After percolating on the situation for a day or so, I remembered I had Mozilla downloaded and I tried getting into Gmail using it. Worked like a charm! Now I'm back to my speedy Gmail. Hobbily Happy Dance!

No chance to work on any new creative projects. Today the girls were invited to our friend Hattie's house for an afterschool tea party. Dang, I forgot to take my camera again. It's so cute to see the kids dress up for these shindigs! Oh and they practice really good manners, too! It was fun!

Went Shopping This Morning...

Granted, my title doesn't sound too exciting, but for me it was because I went to Michaels and Hobby Lobby for the first time since I broke my ankle. For some reason I didn't think they had any wheelchairs and I didn't think it too smart to hobble around those stores. Well, since I can sort of walk on the foot now, I decided to venture into Michaels. They have a wheelchair! Yippee. So, they've got lots of new stuff for the fall and I was just wandering around with a 40% off coupon in my pocket, enjoying looking at all the new product. Nothing really grabbed me...gasp...until I looked at their book section. They had Becky Fleck's book on Page Maps! Whoa! If you love the monthly newsletter from Page Maps, you'll understand my glee. There was my coupon purchase. If you didn't click over, page maps are layout (and card) sketches that are really fun. Now I have a book I can take out to my craft room! Sigh...

So, I decided to venture to Hobby Lobby. I didn't see a wheelchair, but I took a cart to check out the scrapbooking/stamping section. As I am approaching the display for the Cricut/Cuttlebug stuff, I see a new product hanging there. Upon getting closer I literally gasped. They are carrying NESTABILITIES! Oh. My. Gosh! I had a 40% off coupon in my pocket. I decided on the circle scallops. They have some dies that I haven't seen before, but I thought I'll work on the basics and then move on to other dies. Can you believe it? I couldn't. So, if you have a Hobby Lobby near you...you might want to check it out. And for those of you who don't (Kathi) I also found out that Joann's carries them online and you can use their 40% off coupon (does that help?). I wandered around a little bit more and they have also added matstacks from their line called Paper Studio...similar to DCWV. Neat-o. Suffice it to say, being gone for a month made it fun to shop...they've gotten lots of new goodies. Then upon checking out, I saw they have new registers, too. That print out itemized receipts. That's cool, too. Previous receipts had a code and price on them and they were about 1 1/2 inches wide. Now they are "real" receipts. LOL

I was one happy camper when I drove home. My hubby simply wouldn't understand, but I knew you all would. Ü Now, if I could just get out to my craft room! I'm leery on trying because I went across the front lawn this morning to finally check out Jessica's sunflower and let's just say it wasn't the smartest move I've made. Too bumpy and I could definitely feel it. I have to go across some lawn to get to my craft room so I'm leery of attempting it. Who knows though...necessity is the mother of invention, right? Maybe I can figure out a way to make it in spite of the lawn...

Saw Another Doctor Today...

Thanks for all the input and good thoughts about my ankle. I called this morning and got an appointment for this afternoon with a different doctor in the practice. Thankfully he took the time to explain things to me in a way that made sense. The only thing I didn't really like is that he said there must have been "confusion in the message" I got yesterday. There was no confusion, just lack of information given to me.

According to the doctor, the ankle looks good for this point in recovery. It will be swollen and bruised for a while yet. But I am now in an air cast for the next week and a half to two weeks. I am to use the crutches and put 50% of my weight on the ankle. He also told me to put the foot into a bucket of cold water and work on range of motion movements. If I am still experiencing a lot of discomfort in 2 weeks, they will take new xrays and develop a more formal therapy. At least I got an explanation. It does feel better in the air cast. Only I can't see my pink toenails as I have to wear socks because of the plastic part of the cast. Oh well. I can walk better!

The other issue that I haven't really mentioned is that I have developed a large callous on my right palm (lower left part). I have had a pain up the forearm to the elbow and the other night I had a pain in my chest. I have had a sensation that I can't grip very well. I mentioned this to the doctor on Monday, but he didn't explain anything to me about what it could be from-then the whole xray thing distracted me from pursuing it. I figured it was from using the crutches. According to the doctor today, I have pinched a nerve and that is going to take time to heal. Great! Now I'm trying to figure out how to hold the right crutch in a way that won't affect the nerve. The left side is fine, and I feel like I hold them the same, but obviously I don't. My ring finger and pinky seem pretty weak.

So, there it is. He said it takes 6-8 weeks for the bone to completely heal and another 6-8 weeks for it to feel "normal" again. So, hopefully, I will soon feel less discomfort.

Oh and the xray from the hospital? All they did was dictate a report that said...no definitive fracture was seen and that the xray was taken with the splint on. Pretty vague, eh? They didn't even send a picture/film. Oy!

My hand is aching, so I'm done for now. Thanks for visiting and all the good thoughts.

Ankle Update...Not Too Sure About This...

Well, I got a call back from the medical assistant who informed me that the xrays showed things were normal. Meaning there was a fracture, but not anymore. The doctor says I don't need to use the splint anymore. Yea, right? So why is my ankle bruised and still swollen? She says (mind you no one has looked at it, other than me and my family-the doctor didn't even see it out of the cast on Monday) I messed up some tendons and it will eventually (no time frame) go away. Really? Okay, since I've never broken a bone before and they say it's okay, I gather up the courage to put weight on the ankle. Standing...not too bad, whew. Walking? Not so much! I hear a couple of pops like when you crack your knuckles. Hurts and I honestly cannot put my full weight on the foot. I tried with a crutch on that side, that works better, but it still feels strange.

Of course, I haven't put weight on it for a month, so some discomfort is to be expected, right? But pain and not being able to put my full weight on it doesn't sound quite right. My hubby is actually very surprised they said I could walk on it. He thinks it is too soon. He broke the same bone years ago and remembers being in a cast for 6 weeks. It's only been 4 for me.

I'm thinking I should probably go in and have someone actually LOOK at it, and then see what they say, right? Or am I being a Nervous Nelly? I'm so not sure. I just know I want it to heal correctly so I don't have future problems.

I went to the doctor on Monday for the 4 week checkup only to find out that the xray machine was broken! So, they took off the cast (the girls thought the saw was so cool) and put a splint back on so I could go over to the hospital to have it x-rayed. Did that late Monday afternoon. The doctor's office was supposed to receive the results yesterday morning, but at 5:20 PM the medical assistant finally returned my call telling me they never got it at all. So maybe today?



In the meantime I'm in a splint, which is nice in that I can scratch as needed and I was able to shave the leg! And I can inspect the ankle better.

Interesting or bizarre that I took pictures of my ankle?

Gotta go for now and get kiddos ready for school, but hopefully I'll be back later with some other (less graphic) stuff....

Done for Now

Okay, I think I am done messing with the blog for now. You will have to go to my blog to see the changes. I bought a blog kit from Shabby Miss Jenn and, while it took me some time (I think I'm a bit rusty), it wasn't too difficult to follow the tutorial on how to do it. Ü

I need to add more blogs to my blog list, but I'll work on that over time.

I also decided to play with my signature...what do you think?

Makes Me Happy!

Hi there!

Remember me? Yes, I know I haven't posted in a while. Not sure that you wanted a daily dose of... I sat on the couch today. I read blogs today. I took the kids to swim class today. Especially if I didn't have any artwork to break up the monotony. LOL Seriously though, I've been a tad busier than I thought I'd be in that I have been taking the kids to swim class and going to stores that have motorized carts. Of course, it takes longer to do anything these days, but I can get around and that helps. My brother, the truck driver, was in town last night, so we met him at a truck stop to catch up for a couple of hours. We went to an "end of summer" party at a friend's house yesterday. I even mopped the floor one day last week...albeit in sections and took lots of breaks. Trying to do what I can in fits and spurts. I think I can go in to the doctor next week to see how the healing is progressing. I have to check the calendar.

I have been experiencing some feelings of frustration and lack of patience the past few days. So today I decided to brighten my outlook by painting my toenails! Okay don't look too closely at my messy looking feet, but note the color I chose. Close to my cast color, eh? LOL I even added a flower sticker to the big toes. Ü
And here you can see that my cast is no longer a pristine pink thanks to our friend, Dave, who started the signing of the cast process. Alas, I can't show you the happy face that is on the bottom of the cast as I am not limber enough to finagle that shot!I got some happy mail today from my blog buddy, Barb! Thanks so much for thinking of me, my friend!!!! You are SO right that I could use a pick me up about now. In addition to the card, she sent me these images to color in! Whoo hooo! (Don't you love how I set the card on my feet to take the picture? LOL)

I'm just afraid I'll mess them up.

Oh the Olympics are starting for the night...I must say I have been watching quite a bit of them. And enjoying them tremendously. Go USA!!!

Would You Have Missed This?

These are pictures I took yesterday when I drove the girls and I to Estes Park to see these friends. Yes, I drove the van into the mountains. Why would I drive? Because my hubby didn't want to go.

Here's a bit of the backstory. That very nice looking lady is my friend Kelly, who lives in CA. We met when we were in KINDERGARTEN! Yep, that's right, I've known her longer than just about anyone else. We were in a few grades together, then her family moved to a city about 45 minutes away after the 5th grade. That might have been the end of our friendship, but it wasn't. We actually kept in touch! We'd write to each other, and call and plan sleep-overs. I was in her wedding when she married her hubby,Joel, and she was in my wedding. I'm that tall kid in brown's godmother and she's the girls "Auntie" Kelly. She had her oldest son 10 days after my mother passed away and flew out here to be here when I had Amy-that's actually the last time we saw each other. Seven years ago!

When she told me the family was planning a road trip, staying at their timeshare places along the way, and one was in Estes Park (about 1 1/2 hours from where we live) we made plans for us to spend the weekend together. Then I broke my ankle! Just about the only tears I shed were those that fell when I thought I might not be able to see them afterall.

The other night when she called and I asked my hubby if he wanted to spend the day in Estes Park (ie drive us up there), he actually told me, "I have to think about it." Right that second I decided. Think about it all you want (I thought), I'm not asking you again and I am going. So the girls and I went and had a fantastic time. Yes, I was a tad nervous mountain driving with the cast, but it was okay. I didn't do much moving around actually. I'd sit near where they were going to be. They'd drop me off at the door, so I wouldn't have far to hobble. If they wanted to shop, I'd people watch. Or Joel would hang out with me (her hubby) and we'd chat up a storm. The kids had a super time (as you can see) in the lodge pool.

We didn't arrive back home until 10pm and I pretty much hit the bed right after we pulled in. The girls were keyed up and watched a show with their daddy. I heard them tell him, quite innocently, we didn't miss you daddy, because we had such a fun time.

I hope he enjoyed his day alone, because I wouldn't have missed this visit for a mere broken ankle.

Finally!

Bright enough for you? LOL I finally got the cast on this morning. But, it's not a walking cast. I chose pink for the girls, not realizing just how bright pink it would be. The doctor says I'm to stay off it for 4 weeks, then go back to see him. Sigh. If I had to break my ankle, why couldn't it have been the LEFT one?? Sheesh.

I'm getting a little better on the crutches, but I've almost taken a few headers. The girls have been pretty good, but the "newness" of this is wearing off and I have to watch how often I ask for their help. Starting to hear the deep sighs. LOL

Now that the cast is on, I am hoping to be on the computer a bit more. My computer is literally in the corner and there's not a good spot to park my leg. Right now I've got the keyboard in my lap with my legs propped up on another chair and my head turned so that my chin is almost touching my right shoulder to look at my monitor. I may have to ask Steve (the engineer) if he can finagle something that won't cause my neck to hurt as well. LOL

I've not read my blogs in days and feel so out of the loop!

Thanks so much for all the sweet comments and emails. It means a great deal as I adjust to life in a cast for the next several weeks. I hobbled out to my room last night to look for something for Steve and all the different surfaces made it difficult to navigate (as well as the one pretty high step that almost did me in), so I don't think I will be doing much stamping this next month. {for those new to my blog...my craft room is in our detached (sp) garage} . But who knows, maybe I'll make huge strides with digi scrapping. Ü
