Yay! Week 16 started and finished today. *Ü* Feels a little like I might be getting into a bit of a groove. Just as an FYI, the template I used is designed to showcase photos taken over the course of one day and it has spots for typing the different times of the day to go along with the photos. I chose to hide those parts of template. The beauty of templates in action.

I used a new and fun kit called Unplugged and it's all about getting outside and enjoying life without the gadgets, which I thought would be perfect for the outdoor activities that the girls enjoyed last week.

Digital Project Life-Week12

Last weekend was interNational Scrapbook Weekend/Day. I had a ton of fun shopping for supplies. While I didn't go too far overboard, it took some time to download, unzip and quickly organize my new goodies. Week 12 has been sitting on my computer, almost done, for several days now. Finally had some kid free time to finish it up and boy did I ever take my time in doing so. More than it should have most likely. But I was fiddling and futzing with where to put goodies yet again. Maybe someday I'll be able to pull a layout together more quickly. Thanks for looking.

Now I can get started on Week 13. LOL

I am enjoying creating these layouts. I do wish, though, that I could also carve out some time to complete "regular" layouts, too. Hopefully sometime soon I can get some created.

Digital Project Life-Week 11

Whew...here is the latest layout in my Digital Project Life effort.  This was last week, so I'm pretty well caught up. Yay! They aren't too fancy. I'm kind of struggling between wanting to add too much stuff and then thinking it looks wrong, so I take stuff off. Hopefully the balance is okay.

Digital Project Life Week 10

I used templates from the same set as Week 9, but moved around some of the spots so I could add some collage cards. I had some pictures I wanted to add that I couldn't really fit otherwise. That's the neat thing about templates. You don't have to start from scratch and you can fiddle and futz to your heart's content with out messing up the paper.

I snagged the computer before the girls really could yesterday and wouldn't give it up, so I was able to finish a couple of weeks of Digital Project Life. Yay! I love Cindy Schneider templates from Sweet Shoppe Designs and I used 3 card ones on this layout. The week title, the happy, happy, joy, joy one and the good times together one. They look great, but take a little time to pick out the papers one wants to use.

Digital Project Life-Add on to Week 6

Gosh darn it, I'm falling behind on Digital Project Life. I should have already finished Week 7 (Easter) and I haven't even started it yet. In my defense, my husband has been working on my computer, adding a new solid surface hard drive and also upgrading Windows yet again. That means I have had to reinstall a few programs. Okay, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Ha!

A few days after I posted Week 6, I realized I hadn't included pictures of a day trip that Steve and the girls took with our friend, Dave. We always call these trips, "Adventures with Dave" because he finds unique and interesting things to do. On this day they were going to drive to Pueblo (wayyyyy south of Denver) to go see Bishop's Castle. You can read about Bishop's Castle here. It's really quite fascinating. I didn't go because, well, Easter was the next day and I wasn't quite ready for the holiday what with being busy with the girls during their Spring Break. Amy and Steve did a good job taking photos of the castle, which is being hand built by a man named Jim Bishop.

These are basic templates (American Crafts brand for Digital Project Life) with nothing really added to jazz them up. The pictures are neat in and of themselves, I think.

Just finished Week 5 of Digital Project Life. I'm sort of keeping up! I think I need to work on "stressing about it" less and just "getting it done" more. We'll see how that works as time goes one. Heck, I'm pleased I'm still working on it!

Digital Project Life Week 4

Better late than never, right? I've been trying to get this finished for forever, it seems. And to look at it, you'd wonder what the heck took so long, it's kind of simple. But it was hard choosing papers that would work in the different spaces. Then to decide which embellishments to use and not use. (note to self, maybe look into some different alpha/number files) Then to get some uninterrupted time on the computer to journal (ha, ha, I know...right?). I've opened and closed these files too many times to count. When I opened them yet again this morning, I decided no more trying to fiddle and futz, I'm saving and posting as is! LOL
