Happy Friday to you! I hope you have had a good week and didn't miss me too much. No, I haven't fallen into some black hole in cyberspace. More like keeping busy with the kiddos.
We've done a lot of swimming. We had our usual swim lessons, but I surprised the girls earlier in the week and asked if they wanted to go to the pool just to swim. They had a hard time wrapping their heads around that at first...you mean not to take a lesson? LOL Nope, you can just play and swim. Oh yes, was the excited reply. They had a blast and have wanted to go back every day since. LOL We played with friends on playdates one day, gone to the library for the Summer Reading program and saw a very entertaining magician as well as checked out new books. And then today I took them back to the pool, where they again had a blast. I haven't felt like swimming and it's SO nice to side on the side lines and watch them have a ball. I am finding that I am really enjoying the time with the girls this summer. They are independent enough to not need me every second and I can just watch and enjoy their fun if I want. It's been great.
While I have not been in my little corner at all this week, you know that doesn't mean I've completely neglected crafting of some type. Jessica's latest request was the one piece swim suit out of the same booklet I've been using. I finished it the other night and just got the chance to take a couple of shots to share with you. Amy requested the same one (of course) but in light pink. I'm starting that one tonight.
So that's the quick recap of our week. Hope yours has been good to you as well.

Barbie is looking good! I LOVE the color! Would wear this one myself, provided it has a good, built-in padded bra. LOL.
Glad to hear you've had a good week with the girls! They're at good ages right now - independent but not too independent! Love hearing from you! Enjoy the weekend, friend!
Oh wow that one piece is too cute!
Jeanne I know what you mean about time with the kiddos! We spent the day at the pool today too. So much fun to sit back and relax and watch the kids enjoying their summer.
Have a great weekend!
Oh, wow! This is a great addition to Barbie's collection. You are definitely the best Barbie designer!
Jeanne, this is like the one-piece that I hid in my jewelry box so my DD wouldn't ruin it!!! It's very, very special! Barbie looks great in blue but I'm sure pink will be pretty as well. It's so fun to hear that the girls are enjoying just "for fun" swimming! You made me laugh with that story. Have a great weekend!
Another great piece for Barbie. It sounds like you all have had a most excellent week. Your girls are going to remember all this special time you all have had to share.
So cute, Jeanne! Glad you're enjoying summer with your little darlings. I'm doing the same thing, only mine are 13 and 18! Time passes so quickly, so good for you taking the time out to be with them.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Barb
Love the swimsuit! So cute, I'd wear it myself. Although the knit might be itchy. ;)
This is too cute! My daughter is 33and she still has some of her barbies. LOL And a 3 & 1 1/2 yo daughters to pass them on to.
Hope you're having a great weekend!
Your summer schedule sounds like a lot of fun, and a lot of happy, sweet memories are being made in the process. Enjoy it while it lasts...before you know it they'll be up and grown and you'll miss these times more than you could know.
Your Barbie is all ready to go to the pool with you guys too, I see. lol Love her new swimsuit; such a beautiful color too! Looking forward to seeing pink one. ;)
Wow Jeanne! How you continue to make these cute tiny Barbie clothes is beyond me. Your girls are so lucky to have you!!
