...because I decided to move my craft stuff back out to the garage! I know, I know, but the cold hard truth is, I've been extremely cramped in that corner in the bedroom. To the point of almost feeling claustrophobic, so I decided to just spread out again in the garage room. So guess what I've been doing today?? LOL
I'm going to be REALLY brave and show you what my corner looked like this morning before I started and also what the garage looked like before I started.
Isn't that awful? I'm embarrassed but now you can see I never completely fit into the corner and Steve didn't want to add shelves. Just getting my cardstock or pattern paper has been a pain.
Now here's the garage room, which became a dumping ground. I had to take a bunch of stuff out from the living room when we had the mice issues and other stuff just got dumped. I had to clear that up before I could rearrange tables. I finally broke down a glass top patio table and re-set up another banquet table. I also moved the chest of drawers so that I could create a U shaped set up.
Here's the table I was working on after I pulled off most of the stuff on it.
And here's how the garage room looks as of a few minutes ago. I've been working on this all day! And sadly, I'm still not done, but I feel better knowing I can spread out. I'm hoping to use the table with the ink pads on it as my Cricut/Cuttlebug/Sewing table and the other table for my papers. It was really hot today and that a/c on the wall worked GREAT!
Those white chairs are for the girls. The tv is still hooked up and they watched tv for a while, keeping me company.
So, yes, I'm nuts, but I'm going to deal with the fact that my crafting space needs to be in the garage. At least I can spread out a bit!
So, I guess you know what I'll be doing if you don't see any new artwork for a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by. And for not making me feel too bad about how horribly messy I let this become.

WOW Jeanne what a lot of work! It looks like you needed that extra space GF! Thanks for your wonderfully sweet comments on my last few posts. You really make day Jeanne!
What an undertaking this is Jeanne. I can tell already how much more space you will have. I don't think there's anything wrong with having your area in the garage.
Best of luck as you finish the project. It looks great so far.
Have I told you lately that I love you? You make me feel human. My so-called den where my corner is located is so crammed full of stuff that I am going crazy. My redecorating plan has gotten nowhere. Pat yourself on the back for getting something done!! And when you're done, make something and mess it up a little! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
Wow Jeanne, I can't imagine working in the corner you had - I would be so paralyzed with the clutter . . . not that my space doesn't look like this in the middle of a project! I am blessed to have an entire room to store my things and I try to clean up at least once a month (i.e. put things away where they belong - and clear the work surface). The garage space looks like a much better solution for you!
Man, you work fast!! I'm amazed at all you accomplished in one day, Jeanne! Are you exhausted? or excited? ;) I think the extra space is going to be wonderful (cuz I can totally relate...my work station is definitely less than ideal right now). And how fun that your girls can hang out there with you too, and it's nice that you have a/c out there to make it a lot more enjoyable for all of you. Looking forward to seeing your next creations.
Wow, you have been busy! I love my craft room (see it on the sidebar of my blog) but if I could heat my garage I would so move into there! Good for you!
YAY! for you! Wow! That was a big job and you did it so fast. You space in the garage looks wonderful. I love your table cloths. Great idea to have a place for the girls. I love scrapping with the boys in the room.
Congrats on your renewed creative area.
Wow, you have a lot of stuff! I love your table cloths.
I have a closet that is way scarier than your "before" photo. Way scarier.
I am so glad to see those pictures, it makes me feel a little less bad about myself. My room is like that too. Of course now I don't use it much anymore, but one never knows! Good for you to find a cool spot to work from...
I love your "after" photo. I love your "before" photo, too! Wish I could sit there with you and just gawk at all your stuff, lol! My stuff has also been spreading out. Pretty soon I'll have to bring in the rake.
OMG girly you made a great move! Thanks for posting! You're brave. LOL Love it! :)
WOWZAS Jeanne! Looks like you made quite a dent in it. My office/scrapping area isn't set up yet from when we moved in...over a year ago ;)
