Playing in Darnell's NBUS Challenge

Hi Friends!

Back to participate in Darnell's NBUS Challenge. If you haven't "met" Darnell, you should go check out her super fun and fabulous blog, here. She is a great gal who has a very big heart and a truly wonderful way with words that will leave you in stitches. She coined the acronym NBUS-Never Before Used Schtuff and occasionally has challenges for us to break out and use our hoard or supplies. You can check out all the rules and such here. I believe the challenge ends on the 18th, so you'd better get a hoppin'.

Onto my card...I recently celebrated my birthday and my good friend, Becky, gifted me with, among other goodies, this great Impression Obsession gingham background stamp. She knows how much I adore the gingham look. I had to break it out and use it right away. Not sure that was truly the intent with Darnell's challenge, but it fits the criteria, so I'm going with it. :)

I got the idea for the card online somewhere, only a different background was used.
I inked up all those Lawn Fawn leaves, the background and the (Lawn Fawn)thanks with Close To My Heart inks, What can I say? I was feeling like getting inky. The thanks is also covered with Wink of Stella.

Thanks for stopping by.
I truly appreciate the visit.
Have a great day.
Hugs,

Ooooooh so glad you got inky!! Haha! I love the new gingham background stamp, and it is just the perfect backdrop for those beautiful fall leaves you so beautifully inked!! I love how you arranged them in such a lovely cluster with the thanks and the tiny bow! Amazing work my friend! (Hugs)

What a nice friend you have to gift you such a fun background stamp --I've long been a fan of gingham too...so cute! That's awesome you found time to use it so soon {relatively speaking -lol} after receiving it. And you did a beautiful job with it on your fall card {if I see enough of these, maybe I'll believe it's really on its way -lol}...it kinda reminds me of a tablecloth with the leaves scattered on it. And I'm happy that you managed to capture the sparkle on the 'thanks' --that's not easy to do!

Thanks for sharing about the NBUS challenge --I'd never heard of it before. Sounds like something many of us would be able to easily participate in. ;P

big hugs,
Christi

What a lovely way to showcase your NBUS (well, not any longer...) gingham stamp by dressing it up with some oh-so-pretty fall leaves in such a warm autumn palette! I'm sure you'll find multiple ways to use this stamp, simply by changing the colours and images..Christmas, Valentines, Halloween...possibilities galore!

You are the sweetest of the sweet, lovely Jeanne! Your visits and comments add sparkle and joy to my days! THANK YOU! Yes, the Blue Jays were involved in that 53 minute long inning a few games back. Crazy time! Hopefully, they'll do well tomorrow; seeing a Canadian team in the World Series would be fabulous. Wishing you a most marvelous Thursday, dear friend! Hugs and love, in abundance, coming your way!
