Penguin in a Floatie

 Hello!

Before we left for vacation, I had been working on a case of a Kay Miller card using some images gifted to me from a new Instagram friend(Thanks so much, Esther, if you ever read my blog). I had most of it ready to go. Yesterday I finished it.  For my background I used a alcohol inked background that I had created a few months ago. I love how it looks like water. I colored my images using Copic markers and added some Spectrum Noir sparkle. Unfortunately, the camera didn't capture that. I had fun creating this one.

I recently got a new light box in the hopes I can get some better pictures of my cards. I liked this style, which was recommended by a blogger, Debbie Olson, because of the LED light strips which help to brighten the box. I'm still learning with how best to take pictures using it. Haven't had much time to do much since I received it.

One of the highlights when we go to Sioux Falls is taking the Sculpture Walk in the downtown area. I love the small town feel of the walk and how pretty the main street is. They change the sculptures each year. This one is my favorite from this year. I adore Laura Ingalls Wilder and really enjoyed this one of her and Jack.

This Sea Horse was pretty cool, too.

Another look at my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hope you have a terrific day.
Hugs!

Hey! I bought that light-box, and it's still in the box!
Your card is darling, Jeanne - love the ocean-feeling alcohol inking, your fabulous Copic coloring, and the fun sentiment, too!
I cannot believe we were in SD at the same time and didn't know it!! OH we need to actually TALK once in a while! xx

Such a fun card Jeanne! Love the beautiful alochol inks background ... it does look like water. And sweet images that you've coloured expertly!

I also have a light box with the string LED lights and love it. It came with one string and the top front of the box and I added another string of lights at the top, just a few inches from the back (it lights the backdrops I use). Makes taking pictures so much easier! xx

Hi sweet lady! You always brighten my day with a kind word or a peek at one of your lovely creations! I adore your penguin!! The coloring with the hightlights is AWESOME and I love the inky background.

Your visit to the Sculpture Walk looks like lots of fun. I love Laura Ingalls Wilder too - I think I read all of her books as a young girl - another sweet escape!

Oh I wish I could come over for a class to learn how to make that beautiful background!! It is stunning!! Sometimes I just get so overwhelmed by the different techniques I see in Blogland! I just need a "sit down" with a friend! : )

Your card is over the top sweet Jeanne! and I am so happy you enjoyed a blessed tome with your family in Sioux Falls.
