Hello Card

One can always count on Pinterest for eye candy when one has a few minutes to browse. I saw this card and wanted to recreate it using products I had on hand. Here's what I came up with. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
I cut the window with my Cricut and the Creative Cards cartridge. In hindsight, I would probably make the window a little bit larger, but it's not too bad.
I bought the trees stamp a while ago. It's even a woodie! Wow, huh? I stamped it in Cocoa ink (CTMH) and then sponged some Tim Holtz distress inks. I've popped up the window on foam dots. I punched the leaves with a Martha Stewart punch and used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment. The Hello is from Hello Blooms (CTMH) and is stamped in Garnet ink. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the bottom "wallpaper" and some Simple Stories Harvest paper for the top piece. The button was in my stash.
I appreciate the inspiration I find out there on Pinterest and in blogland.

That's it from me!
Hope you have a great start to your weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Playing with Close To My Heart Products This Weekend!

My former upline from Close To My Heart has been in town this weekend having a retreat with her Colorado consultants. She had an opening on Friday and emailed me to ask if I’d like to come and play with her. I haven’t seen her in several years, so I said absolutely!

My friend, Becky went as well and it was fun checking out the new catalog and catching up with Kay. Oh and playing with some CTMH product. *Ü*

I was particularly smitten with the Chantilly line.
This started out as a standard A2 card front and ended up a 5x7.
So many fun little doodads to add!
This is a 6x6 accordion fold mini album. I've just decorated the cover. I really like the zipper/ribbon and the fabric. The swirly wood pieces are fun, too.

These two projects were completely inspired by some projects I saw in the new 2013 Spring Summer CTMH catalog. Not sure if it has gone live yet, we didn't talk about that. I didn't see it on the CTMH website as their online catalog, which is why I'm not sure.

I used Happy Thoughts and Frame Flair stamp sets. I think the pink ink is Cotton Candy. I've also used Sweet Leaf and Buttercup inks.

It sure was a lot of fun playing. In fact, Jessica had a skating birthday party to go to today at a location very near where Kay was staying. So, I dropped Jessica off at her party and went and played with Kay and the gals again this afternoon for the duration of the party. Nothing got finished, but I did cut more of this Chantilly paper.  Hee, hee!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a great day. And thanks, Kay, for emailing me!
