It Could Have Been Worse...But Still...

Look what we woke up to this morning.
Ugh.
The window you see in this photo is our bedroom.
The girls' room is right next to ours.

Someone apparently took the corner by our house too fast last night.
Way too fast.

And didn't have the guts to let us know.
This shows how far some of the wood flew.

Can you believe none of us heard this?
I haven't been sleeping well lately, waking up at 3am or so, for no reason.
But not last night.
I woke up at my normal time this morning thankful I got a good night's sleep.

Not that we can really do anything about this, but I did call the police to get it recorded.
Our street is not a pass through. Usually those who drive around here, live around here.
There's got to be some front end damage on a car around here.

I'm just glad the fence was there to stop the car.
It could have been MUCH worse.

Happy Friday.
What a way to start the weekend, huh?

Oh, no! I'm glad everyone is safe, though! Just last week here in my town there was a car that drove through a bedroom while the teenage girl was studying. Nobody was seriously injured but it's scary!

If the police catch up with that person, they or their insurance company are responsible for repairs to your fence and any other damage that may have been caused.

Oh, no! Glad no one was hurt. It is a pain when you have to fixed things like this, especially when you didn't do it. Keep warm and safe!

Oh Jeanne, that's scary. I'm glad that you all are safe. People really need to take it slower when the streets are snowy and icy.

I am glad it happened while you guys were all safe and sound in bed...not while the kiddos were outside playing!!!
Take care Jeanne...sorry about your fence.

Oh Jeanne! Yes, quite thankful that it wasn't worse!!! Wow. It leaves you feeling violated that they didn't report it to you. Cowardly.
I guess if you were told, and an honest apology given, it would be very hard to remain upset (no-one was hurt).

Hugs!

Man, this stinks. So sorry, Jeanne. Bah humbug to the perpetrator.

I hope the maniac driver really learned his/her lesson and will take it easy from now on! I'm glad everyone's ok and hopefully it'll be easy for you to get repairs done. Thanks so much, Jeanne, for your sweet words on my blog today :) !

Looks like someone had a little too much Christmas cheer - from a bottle. I'm glad the vehicle stopped with the fence, and that you are all OK. Creepy!

Wow, what a mess! I'm glad nobody was hurt (that you know of) and that you didn't wake up to find someone IN the car that hit your fence.
