Snow Day Star Card

The forecasters were predicting a pretty decent winter storm today, although I was hoping they were wrong, because a couple of friends and I had planned a crafty playdate.
But, the weather didn't cooperate.
Not as impressive as the the midwest has gotten recently, but more than we've seen in our neck of the woods for a very long time. More than I wanted to navigate the roads to craft.

So, instead we hung out some, shoveled some...
drank some yummy stuff that was
awesome!
 And produced big sloppy grins.
Then we played some,
(Yes, Becky, I had to find a version for us to play *Ü* )
While this simmered on the stove.
And I snuck away some, to create this card!

I saw this pin on Pinterest and wanted to try it for myself.
I found a diamond shape on Plantin Schoolbook and cut 12 at 1 1/4 inch using My Mind's, Eye Miss Caroline, Howdy Doody paper (what a mouthful).
I stamped the label using Sunset ink and the label stamp from Happy Thoughts stamp set (Close To My Heart) and added a few pearls from Michaels Recollections brand. The white organdy ribbon is from CTMH as well and the label is popped up with foam tape.

What a fun snowy day.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Hi Jeanne!

I'm so glad that the girls got their snow day that they wished for and it's nice that you all could spend the day together. Love the card.

Hugs,
Tamara

Oh what a fun day!! I love nothing better than a stay inside cozy , something cooking on the stove, play games, and make a card day! haha! And your card... that is stunning!! I am definitely going to have to try that! The dimension looks wonderful! The papers you used are so pretty and the doily is just perfect to set it all off. Beautiful work!
We've had snow all week since Sunday too and more is expected today. Hope you all stay warm!
