Hexagon Christmas Tree

When I saw this card I just loved the idea of using hexagon shapes to make a tree. I thought it would be super fun to use Doodlebug paper, too. I have to admit it took a little arranging and rearranging to get them lined up in a pleasing way.  Edited to add a direct link to specific card

I've not jumped on board the sequin bandwagon really. I like the look but am not sure it's for me. I found these neat looking flat sequins at Hobby Lobby and thought I'd give them a try. The package was 75 cents on sale...not a huge out of pocket expense to try it. I picked them up with the goober stick (not the official name) from Lifestyle Crafts and it left a residue. Sigh.

Sentiment is from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler. Also used Doodlebug Twine for the bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a happy day!

Your tree is perfect. Fabulous idea to use hexagons.

I haven't gotten into the sequin trend either but keep thinking that maybe I should.

I LOVE!!! I saw that same card and made a journaling card for my December Daily with this idea! I thought that was the cutest thing! I love what you did with the idea too! Your papers are so cute and I love the paper smooches sentiment! So so cute!!

Hooray!! You've finally shown me something hexagon I can "get"! I rushed out and bought hexagon stamps, hexagon dies, hexagon everything and haven't made one single thing with them because they always look, well, silly ( ! ) the way I arrange them. I {heart} the tree!

Hugs!!

hello my friend!

Just wanted to let you know that something is wrong with my email and I can't send or receive them. So sorry I haven't been able to write you back! I will as soon as I get it fixed. We're having freezing rain here right now, so I don't know what might happen. My internet might go out or even the power. I sure hope not though! I'm thinking about you! Hope everything is getting better :)
