I was a little nervous, because not everyone likes doilies, but I fell in love with this book after seeing this doily in progress on the Sew Ritzy~Titzy blog, that I went out and bought it. I thought Erin might like the detail in the doily I selected to make and I had fun creating it. I have a feeling each of the doilies in the book will be made at one point or another.
The girls are off school today, which is a compensation day for teachers after having done conferences this week. Our school does the conferences after the school day so it makes for a couple of really long days for the teachers. Both girls got wonderful reports from their teachers. They are good, hard workers. Jessica's teacher made a point to let me know that Jessica brings a lot of background knowledge to her work. All the trips to the museum and such are paying off. Yay! *Ü*
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

How lovely! Yeah for the girls too! Have a fabulous Friday.
Your doily is gorgeous, Jeanne!!! I have no doubt that Erin will treasure this always. Not only because it's from you, but because it's so beautifully made. A true treasure! tfs
Glad the girls had good teacher reports (I'm sure you expected no less -lol). Hope you all enjoy your Friday freedom. ;)
How beautiful, Jeanne! What a treasure. I know Erin loved it.
Three cheers for the girls and their mom, who takes them to places that not only are fun but enrich the learning experience. The world needs more parents like you!
I hope your weekend is wonderful and that your nice temperatures continue. It cooled off here again, but I'll be OK so long as we have a little hint of spring every once in a while.
Oh My Goodness, not like it??? Someone would have to be crazy to not LOVE it! Wow.
It is beautiful! Congrats to the girls too!
Oh, this is beautiful! You make me wish I knew how to crochet. My moms crochets all the time. I think this is the push I need to ask her to teach me. I can't let this beautiful hobby not be passed on to the next generation of our family. Thanks for all your inspiration.
OMGOSH...look at that!!! it is wonderful Jeanne! Love it.
I love doilies!! My grandma used to crochet that little edge on the open edge of a pillow case. I would always look forward to getting one after i embroided my pillow cases and gave them to her to finish.
I'm sure Erin loved it!!
Ok ladies ---
The photos do NOT do it the justice and praises that the doilie deserves. It is out of this world beautiful! I carefully packed it in my suitcase so it wouldn't get smashed (even tho Jeanne told me I could press it back out again)... I LOVE IT!!!!
Thank you so VERY, VERY much!
Hugs,
Erin
PS... I love the new blog look, Miss Jeanne!
PPS... we never made it out to your craft room! LOL!
PPPS.... I crocheted all the way back to Utah... practicing. LOL! Made a bunch of flowers and some odds n ends practice pieces. I even crocheted wtih HEMP :)
This is stunning! And I can't imagine making it for a nicer friend :) Erin is very lucky - now I'm off to check out that book you recommended :)
So, so gorgeous! You did an amazing job on a doily that I know is very labor-intensive. Very beautiful, Jeanne!
