Quick and Easy Nod to Halloween Decor...

On the crafty blogs I subscribe to, the ladies are posting a plethora of fun fall and Halloween decorating ideas. Most of them are quick and easy, too. Yay for me!

I took a couple of the ideas I've seen and made my own versions.

How fun are these?!

The pumpkin art you see in the center was inspired by this post on the blog, eighteen25. This is a super neat blog to read because the gals that run it find and create so many great projects! I picked up a styrofoam pumpkin at Walmart. It was a dollar. The rest of the items I had at home. I chose not to glue the pumpkin onto the glass, in case I wanted to reuse the frame for another project at some point. The paper is from Making Memories. It's a wedding pack, 6x6 sized.

I saw the silhouettes showcased here on the Dollar Store Crafts blog. I really like this blog because they think of things to do with items from the Dollar Store that I would never, ever think of! Here's the direct link to the pdf patterns. I saved the file, then opened it in Photoshop Elements to reduce the size so they would fit into the smaller frames I had in my stash. The pattern paper is also from the Making Memories pack

I kid you not, it took about 10 minutes to put this together and part of that time was heating up the glue gun!

I have a couple of other Halloween type projects in mind, but am not sure when I'll get to them, but if you want, I'll share when I do get them completed.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and for the caring comments about Amy's smashed finger. It's still a bit swollen but the bruising has gone down quite a bit. We got her a finger splint and she says it really helps it feel better.

It's almost the weekend! Yay!

Jeanne, Your decorations are always wonderful - these silhouettes are perfect!!! Spoooooooky!

I'm sure the splint helps to rest Amy's finger a bit - and protects it a little from bumps and such. Poor baby.

Hugs!
