No Cast Yet...

When to the doctor's office this morning and the swelling isn't down enough for a cast. :o( He told me to try again on Tuesday. :o( But there is a possibility of getting a walking cast when I do get it. I could also drive with it if I am very careful and no stick shift (one of our cars is a stick shift). So, there's a light at the end of this first tunnel.

Thanks for all the kind words you have sent. They mean a lot to me. Ü

My goodness!! I'm sorry to hear that you broke your ankle. I hope that the swelling goes down soon so you can be up and at it again. I know it must be driving you crazy to be couch bound. I love you and am thinking about you and your quick recovery.

Get well soon, friend. You do have to stay off your ankle to get the swelling to go down!

Oh, Jeanne, I am so sorry about your foot/ankle! I hate walking casts! A word of advice. . . .once you get the walking cast, look very critically at the height of both. . . umm . . . "foot apparels" and make sure it's about even. If you the walking cast has a higher "heel" than your shoe, or vice versa, you can throw things out of whack in your lower back. You won't notice it at first; you'll just compensate. But pick a shoe to wear on your left foot that keeps you "level." Also, even if you can drive, sometimes there's this picky insurance coverage thing. And bear with me, but one more bit of advice. . . .find some really fun digiscrapping to do! If you've gotta be less mobile, indulge yourself with whatever kits/programs etc you want! Sending happy healing vibes your way!
