"Spring" Card Video Tutorial

At long last, I've taped another tutorial video. I've been working on this for the better part of today and worked through mess-ups by me, interruptions by kids and my own ineptitude about video taping! I taped several times and decided to just use the video, flubs and all. With practice, I hope to improve.

Part of the reason it's taken so long for me to share another tutorial is mainly because the program I used to edit my first one was a trial version and it had expired (my camera movie file type is Quicktime, which apparently isn't a widely supported file type for editing purposes). I kept meaning to look for another one, but...you know how that goes. I forgot Recently, an ad showed up in my inbox and I bought the program because it supported Quicktime movies. Then my dad came for his visit just as the program arrived, so I had to wait a bit longer.

Here's the link to the tutorial and the link to the card, created by Cindy Lawrence, that inspired the one I made in the video.

I hope you enjoy it. Ü

ETA: It looked pretty grainy to me when I watched it. I don't know why. I'll work on improving that!

Don't know if it's my computer (could be), but your audio didn't come in very well for me. It was like I could hear someone talking in the background. That's not to say that I couldn't tell what you were doing, and your written commentary kept me thoroughly entertained. I was particularly delighted when that piece of B&T paper had to be pulled off. It made the whole process look much more REAL! Seriously, I can't even imagine doing this and admire anyone who does so much. Thanks. I'm going to try that card, too. It's cute!!! Oh, and your red shirt IS nice!

Great video! I really like the measurements you used. I will have to try one with those measurements and cardstock. I heard the audio just fine on my computer.

You are funny with your commentary and overlays! I thought you did a great job! You are harder on yourself than anyone else would be.

Cute card!

Do you like your mini studio for taking pics of your artwork? I am still thinking about getting one.

Jeanne, you're much too hard on yourself! Your tutorial was just fine...I got everything necessary from watching it, including some added humor. ;) And your RED shirt never made an appearance when you were trying to demonstrated anything, so it was fine. lol Really, you'll get better and better with each one (and since I've never done this and wouldn't even know where to start, I'm just thankful that you're giving it a shot -- it's very helpful to us visual learners), so keep up the good work! And don't sweat the small stuff. You did a great job and your card was darling! I'm already looking forward to your next one. ;D

I lvoed your video...everything came thru just great on my computer. I had seen this tutorial on another blog, but your measurements are better suited for my needs. I also like that you used cardstock, it makes for a more sturdy card, not so floppy as others I have seen. The end result was fabulous. Just adding a bit of B&T paper made the whole thing pop. OH...red is one of my favorite colors...so it was a real treat each time your shirt made an appearance.~ No worries, Jeanne, we're all human! Thanks for sharing...and I look forward to another tutorial from you. Great job!~Barb
