Happy Saturday to you! I was able to complete only one card today. I am working on another one, but didn't have time to finish. Hopefully that one will be done tomorrow and you'll have something to look forward to!
I {heart} Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace. She is so creative and her cards exude elegance. I am thankful she shares as much as she does so I can get my Becca fix. She's the one who showed how to make the medallion cards with corner punches. Well recently she posted another medallion card that you can see here and I was once again smitten. She mentioned in her post that she would put up a tutorial, but I think I figured out how to do it all on my own, thanks to her previous tutorials. Here's my take on the technique and I have to say I am very pleased at how it came out.
The card is a 6x6, which I don't make very often. I added some piercing in the center ring, which you may or may not be able to see. I also added a triangle in the center of each side of the card background piece. Those funky shapes in the center are the punch outs from the corner punch. Don't they look cool? The very center is a button. I ran a piece of white cardstock through my Cuttlebug using Swiss Dots. Because the piece is larger than the folder, I lined up the last row of dots and ran it part way through again. One row of dots is flattened when you do this, but that's easily remedied by using an embossing tool to carefully pop the dots back out. Over all, it's a pretty straightforward card, but I love the WOW of the hearts.
I hoped to get another card done, but I got interrupted by Girl Scout cookies. I had to go pick up the boxes that were ordered. Some 100+! Then Steve wanted to be sure they were all there. LOL
I hope your Saturday has been a good one and the rest of your weekend is just what you want it to be. Thanks for stopping by!

PS I'm trying out a couple of things I made in PSE this morning...let me know if it looks silly, okay?

When I saw your inspiration on Amazing Paper Grace, I thought of you immediately. And thus, I'm not surprised by today's creation. I am, however, impressed. Your rendition is beautiful! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, friend!
I agree with you about Amazing Paper Grace....just simply amazing! I saw this on her blog and thought it looked a lot harder than the rectangle frame.
Your card is beautiful! I admire how you try so many new techniques and crafts. You rock!
