Then recently I came across this post on Sew Ritzy Titzy and thought it was SO adorable I had to try it. Bonus for me, I had the book that has the pattern already in my stash! Yay! When I looked through my crochet thread, I had the same color, too. Double yay! Here's my version:
It's not very big, not quite two inches square, so it didn't take long at all to crochet. I used a scrap of the fabric I used on the heart I shared earlier to make the "pillow" and I whipstitched the two sides together. I just love that flower!
I wasn't quite sure how she could use this, but after I gave it to her she said she'd love for it to be a pin. So, after she shares it with her family, I told her to give it back to me and I'd add a pin back to it.
She was thrilled with her little gifts, which tickles me tremendously.
Jessica is ready to read her book, so I will close for now. Oh, by the way, the "glue" finally fell off yesterday! Yay! Now she can swim again. *Ü*
Thanks for stopping by. I'll get to fixing my sidebar soon. Have a great Thursday!

Sweet! The gloves are so pretty, and the little crocheted piece will make for a gorgeous pin.
You brave soul! While I don't know if you've been back to "fix" it, I'm not seeing anything wonky on your blog. Love your new header, and your sidebar looks good to me. Notice you haven't added any pages .... yet!
As much as I want to make some changes, I don't think a blog redesign would be in the cards for someone who is having a stressful week already. LOL. I'll just admire your blog instead! Way to go, sweet friend!
What lovely gifts! I like the new blog design too.
Those fingerless gloves are beautiful! I love the little pillow also. You are just so talented, and with the blog also! You go girl.
Ohhh my Jeanne!!! they are both delighful. I LOVE the little flower pillow/pin soo sweet. What a lucky friend.
I think those fingerless gloves are so cute, and I love the variegated yarn you used! And your pillow-box-turned-pin is very pretty. I have no doubt that your friend was tickled pink to receive those lovely and heartfelt gifts. You do such a beautiful job with everything you create...no matter what the project.
I saw your other post about wanting to change your blog design and 'pardon the mess' --I guess I missed the 'mess' by not stopping by yesterday and I liked your blog just the way it was, but can understand the desire to change it up a bit (and you're blessed that you're able yourself...I'm a bit challenged in that department). Looks nice! ;)
Wow, these are so sweet!
Wow, these are awesome! Great gifts! You are one talented lady!
Oh, I forgot to mention...like your new blog look. So springy! Nice to see with all the snow we have here.
Ok I have been out of the bloggie loop here...love your new look...and those gloves are fabulous
Great gifts!! Happy for you all that Jessica can swim again. I need to get my boys back into that again. Durning the summer it's everyday for 2 weeks. School year it's once a week for 2 months. They still love it!
