Can We Build It? Yes, We Can!

If you saw a post in your Google Reader and it didn't go anywhere, I'm sorry about that. I tried posting earlier, but Steve was using the photo disc on the printer at the same time. I found out you can't see the pictures when I try to insert them that way. So, I just deleted it all and waited til he was done.

Daddy took the girls to Lowe's for their Saturday morning kid craft. He thought there'd be a race, too, but there wasn't. He told me he didn't have to help them at all, he just let them have at it. He did remember to take the camera and took a bunch of pictures...

Don't they look thrilled in that first picture? LOL I think Steve caught them concentrating on the beginning of the project...you know that What? reaction when you get their attention?  Girls with hammers are an awesome sight aren't they?! And one of the cars, along with Jessica showing off the patch they got to be put on the aprons they received. All this was FREE, which is very cool. Steve told me I haven't lived since I wasn't there to hear all the hammers being whacked at the same time. LOL Gotta say, I'm glad I missed that adventure!

They were only gone for an hour, so I didn't get a whole lot of kid free time....

I did manage to get two cards done, which I'll show in a separate post....

Very cool! I read your post before the photos appeared and thought the cars might resemble Pinewood Derby cards (a Cub Scout thing)but no, these cars are much fancier. Girls learning to use a hammer is a good thing! As for a bunch of hammering at once, been there, done that. You didn't miss a thing!!

Wow what a great activity for the girls to do. And they have done an awesome job.

Well, if the girls didn't start out too excited about their morning outing with dad, it sure looks like that got all straightened out as their creative time progressed. ;) Cute pics.
