Doily is Done!

Happy Friday Morning to you! I'm very excited to share that I finished crocheting the doily this morning. I had just a few more "bumps" to work on to get it done. I tried to finish last night, but my eyes gave out on me. The hook I used is pretty small and my eyes aren't what they once were. LOL

Here's how it came out:

And a couple of close ups...

I got the pattern to make this free on the internet...HERE. Honest to goodness, it wasn't hard, just detailed. It took almost a whole ball of cotton thread to get it done. The hook size I used is 7, which is 1.65mm just to give you and idea. That's pretty small.

I went out to our shed by the garage for the first time in I don't know how long, yesterday. When I was moved out of my craft room by the impending arrival of Jessica, I boxed up the patterns and craft supplies I wouldn't be using for a while and put them out into the shed. I took a peek to see if I could find some patterns. And find a few I did. (Although Steve has moved boxes around enough and crammed enough stuff in there that I could only look through a couple of boxes). I found two instruction booklets for crocheted Barbie doll clothes!  The girls saw them and have been poring over them picking out their favorites. Guess I am gonna be busy for a long time! hee, hee

I mentioned yesterday that the girls are off school today. What I didn't know until about 9:30 last night is that Steve took the day off of work as well. That means I might get to sneak into my craft corner today and see if I can't come up with a few cards! Yeah!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope your Friday is a happy one!

Jeanne

LOVE this! I am finishing up one for my mom for her birthday. I like doing the small work, although, like yours, my eyes are just NOT what they used to be! So, this is for your friend, Susi...she's gonna love it. You did a great job Jeanne!

You have done a wonderful job on these. Oh how I WISH I could make these as well! My mom would make things like this in no time flat! My sister can make things like this as well. Do you think I can? NO. I just cannot understand the pattern instructions. The only thing I can make are granny squares! LOL.

I love what you are doing! Keep it up!
