Exhibition Health x2…

The girls kept begging asking if we could go to the Museum of Nature and Science and see the Exhibition Health again. So, that’s what we did this morning. It was not too busy at 9:30 in the morning and we got to see all the things we wanted to see. I took a bunch of pictures, but not all of them came out very well. The lighting there is pretty tricky, but I did get some I thought you might like to see to get a better idea of what makes this exhibit so appealing.

Don’t you love the Halloween socks? I guess they sort of go with the black and white dress. LOL My girls dress themselves, so they are pretty creative in their outfits sometimes. But we don’t fight over getting dressed. I’ll take that over them being all matchy-matchy.

The hands you see above her shoulder are mine. *Ü*

Not the greatest photo, but I think you get the idea.

This shows up after you walk across a screen. This might help:

I took some other photos, that didn’t come out too well. We also checked out the Dinosaur exhibit and because it wasn’t busy, the volunteer showed the girls a T-Rex tooth and how it would fit into a T-Rex mouth. Did you know they grew new teeth throughout their lives? I didn’t.

And we went into the Space Odyssey exhibit. I think this is a cool addition to the exhibit…

The globe rotates and is textured. Way cool.

All in all we were there for a good 2 1/2 hours and there were plenty of exhibits we didn’t see this time around. Good thing we have a membership.

Hope you enjoyed these “what I did on my vacation” photos. LOL

Thanks for stopping by.

Jeanne

This looks like so much fun! We have a science center here that looks just like that. Our favorite exhibit has to be the one with all the pins...LOL I swear my kids would just mess with that ALL DAY! So fascinating to push body parts into them lol. Loved looking at your pics....Amy dresses herself too..hee hee ..I try to offer advice but it's always ignored.:-)

What a perfect way to spend time! Exhibits like that are so cool. Everyone learns something! As for letting the girls dress themselves, good for you. Soon enough, their friends will be dictating what they wear ... maybe. Thanks for posting this. As I've said before, I love to see what you're up to and the cool things you do with the girls. As Sharli said, you're a good mom!

WOW, Jeanne! This definitely is something I NEED to take the kids to see! It looks sooo cool, and educational too! Love all your pics. And I applaud you for your relaxed attitude about letting the girls dress themselves -- "Pick your battles," I always say. Some just aren't worth the fight....
