Beautiful Rose Layout-Orton Effect

Over at the Jessica Sprague message board, the gals entertain themselves while waiting for a new class by offering challenges or posting a neat technique. Kimi, of Kimi Creations posted directions last month on how to create the Orton Effect on her blog. And the girlfriends on the "Spraground" have been sharing their efforts with this effect. I'm a little late to the game, but this is my attempt.

This rose is from Steve on Valentine's Day. I'm not sure I really got the effect to look right, but I do think it looks interesting. Sort of a blurry painted effect, I think. At least I attempted something a little different and a little bit out of my comfort zone.

With that, I am going to hang out on the couch. I have to admit to having a headache that won't quit today. So, I'm going to rest my pounding head. I don't know if I'll post anything else today. If don't, thanks again for visiting!

This is beautiful. I took a peek at the directions for the technique, too. So many projects . . . so little time. I hope your head feels better and that you're not coming down with something. 'Tis the season. Take care.

I too am a little confused with the Orton effect. This does look like a painting! It's beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am going out of town for 2 weeks, but I am still registering for UPR.

Oh, and actions!!??? The photographer in me is accidental and who knows why I would get one good pic out of 100, just an accident. Just messing around.

Enjoy!
