Amy’s Summer Poncho

Since I’m spending an awful lot of time hanging around the house these days, I decided to enjoy the time as much as I could today and finished Amy’s summer poncho. Which wasn’t difficult, as it was a pretty easy pattern. Lots of chain 5s and double-crochet shells. Then there is that flower, which was different than any I have made so far.

Hey! It fits Jessica, too! Cool! LOL I’m going to be making her one, too, but a different style. She’d kind of like one like Amy’s, but I don’t really feel like doing all those chains and shells again so soon. LOL

*********

I took these pictures as the news was saying there was a funnel cloud spotted nearby! It was about 4-5 miles west and a little north of where we live. As you can see, it was sunny in our neck of the woods, but it was close enough and at about the same time Steve would be on his way home, driving in that general vicinity, so I called him to make him aware of the situation. All was well. But man, this is getting a little TOO close for comfort!

That’s it from me for now! I hope you had a great day and are looking forward to a happy Wednesday.

Jeanne

Darrrrrling!!! Love it :) They both look so super uhm, LOOOOVING IT, with it :) LOL!! You did a fantastic job! It's beautiful.

Those tornadoes sound scary! Several years ago B was at an interview in Salt Lake City... he was driving home and suddenly thought to turn at the street he was coming up to... Then that night on the news we learned that a tornado had touched down in Salt Lake just 2 blocks from where Brent had turned off. CREEEPY!

Amy looks just FAB in that poncho!!!! Allison just looked at the pics and was stunned that you had done that. Then I HAD to show her the teapot lol. She was well impressed. Purple is her fav color.

Very, very cute! Beautiful colors. Lovely models, too! I hope your weather straightens out. Tornadoes to worry about every few days is a bit much!

Your girls are so lucky to have this extra talented of a mother. The poncho is gorgeous.

Glad you all are safe from the tornadoes. I heard one touched down today. We got lots of rain and hail in our neck of the woods tonight.

Your crochet skills are amazing! And you're so quick, too. I know the girls love these ponchos and they look so cute in them. You did a fabulous job...the poncho is beautiful.

Your weather is as wacky as mine...we are freezing up here. We've still got all of the pet cages wrapped in blankets, and we've not put the patio furniture out yet...just too drizzly and cold. I'm starting to worry about our fruit trees now. Hey! I'm still able to wear the neck warmer you made for me...very unusual for us this time of year. I LOVE it!

Be safe with all those swirlie twirlies in your neck of the woods.

Great job on the poncho, Jeanne! With the looks on the girls' faces, it looks like you scored BIG time! Love the variegated colors and that rose/flower is really pretty!

Glad the tornado missed you guys that day too! (We are under a tornado watch this afternoon until 10pm tonight. It's happening too often lately --kinda spooky.)
