Flower Microphones!

Hi there! Do you remember me mentioning a few weeks ago that I was working on some fun microphones for the girls? Well, I finally finished the second one last night and gave them to the girls this morning. They were very surprised and happy. They took them over to a friend’s house to use as they played. Wish I was a fly on the wall then. LOL One is slightly smaller than the other because I used a smaller hook for the second one.

It turned out to be a busy day for me today. We had swim lessons and then lunch at the school. After we got home from that I set to work cleaning up around the house again. I went from one project to another and before I knew it, Steve was walking in the door! Wish I could say I was all done, but sadly, that’s not the case. Sigh…

The girls helped with the prep work for our taco dinner tonight, which was very nice.

We had another storm roll through this afternoon, but it didn’t hit us quite as hard as the previous ones we’ve been having. The news showed a monster tornado out east in a rural area, though. Wow! I told Amy THAT’s what a funnel cloud looks like. LOL I was amused at a new story today talking about the possibility that summer weather might not make an appearance this year. I thought it was sort of silly, since summer hasn’t even officially arrived. But, no, summer will show and our area is slated to be one of the areas with warmer than average temps.

With no other creative efforts to show for myself, I will thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Jeanne

Oh my goodness, these are cute! When I visualized microphones, I saw something gray like silver and black. I should have known better. I love that they're flowers, too!

Toys such as these spark the imaginations, and yes, it would have been fun to have heard their initial attempts at being rock stars! Or, country western crooners, maybe?

That sounds like a silly news story. He/she must have run out of "real" news. Once that happens, they just jabber. Kinda like I write. LOL. With that, I'm outta here with a wish your tomorrow is a good one!

These are so stink'in cute!!! I would have DIED for a microphone like that - I bet my DD would have, too! How FUN! I like that they're not identical - just me I guess.

These are so cute. Your girls' friends must be so jealous of all the cool things that their mom makes for them.

Now, seriously, about this weather. We didn't see anything too crazy today but I know it was around close to us. I'm sure in July we'll be wishing for some of this rain.

Those are darling, and so colorful -- I love that they are flowers! I can just imagine how much fun your girls (and their friends -lol) are gonna have using those...future rock stars alert! Maybe your mics will be spotted online and end up as the official mic for Miley Sirus or some other girl band...what if?! ;) tfs

Yes, we've been having weird weather (we had another tornado watch yesterday, but thankfully it didn't progress into a warning), but like you said, it isn't even officially summer yet --strange that they'd be predicting such a thing. I mean how do they really know what the weather will be like even a month from now anyway?!

Glad you got some cleaning done. That's what I should be doing, but I really need to get my Father's Day cards made...especially since I really should mail my dad's out by tomorrow.

Enjoy YOUR Tuesday! ;)

Oops... I just realized I misspelled Miley's name. I'm not sure but I think it's Cyrus. Like it matters. lol

How cute are these? VERY! I love the colors and the fact that they are flowers!!! Too cute. Sure beats the hair brush I used to use as a child. You definitely get the Great Mom award.
