Rainy Day Fun…

Nope, I haven’t made it back into my corner yet. Today was a rainy day, which might have made it a perfect day to work on some cards, but with the girls home and wanting to do handwork, we instead went to Joann’s and picked out a beginner’s needlepoint kit for each of them. And we also picked out some bright colored yarn for some new ponchos. I know, I know…there’s always something to be created isn’t there? Quite frankly, when it is spring/summer I don’t really like seeing the fall/darker colors on the girls. Maybe it’s a strange justification, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. LOL

Here are some photos of the girls doing their first needlepoint stitches.

One of these days, I will get another card made…

Thanks for stopping by!

Cute! That looks like a fine thing to do on a rainy day. Amy looks happy and confident while Jessica appears a bit more pensive - the difference in their ages and experience showing, I suppose. So sweet! I love to know what you're up to even when you're not creating cards or layouts. Can't wait to see those new ponchos, too!

It was a rainy day in Nebraska too. Looks like you have a couple of creative girls going to be just like MOM!

Well I can't think of a better reason to not make cards! Looks like they were having fun, and they are so intent! You're creating future artists in them!

How sweet your girls look. I'm sure they'll be making all sorts of projects in no time since they're related to you.

I'll be looking forward to the new ponchos.

Hopefully maybe one day this week it won't rain.

How cute they look working on their needlepoint projects --so intent! I got Chloe one of those kits for her birthday, but we've yet to finish it...maybe this week?

Looking forward to seeing your new ponchos. ;)
