Sunsational Summer Fun~Digi Layout

I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but Jessica Sprague's website is celebrating its second birthday this week. As part of the celebration, she is posting freebies and challenges all week long. The freebies are available for 24 hours each day. Challenges are posted in the general forum for using the freebies, and today's goodie was a fabulous template created by the awesome LivE. I've been participating in the challenges and this layout is my attempt at using today's template.

Actually, this is my second attempt at using the template today. Most of my photos are taken in the horizontal orientation and the original photo I wanted to use wasn't working right. I didn't want to rotate the template as I really liked how Liv designed it. This photo of the girls on the slip 'n slide worked better, so I went with it. I used Mary Fran's Summer Splash kit (and the Solids pack) from Nitwitcollections as the colors worked well with the photo. Fonts are Century Gothic and PeaSarahloo. I'm tickled at how it came out. Wheeee!

In addition to the challenges/freebies, Jessica is offering a FREE Photo Editing Class. Registration is open for any and all who want to take the class, but for this week only.
To sign up, you just need to be a registered member of the Spraground (registration is FREE too!)

Free Registration for Photo Editing: Frame-ups and Special Effects – Just log in to your account (or create one), then click here and enter the code: FREECLASS062009 to be automatically registered! Then check out the class introduction in your My Classes link in the main menu. Registration is free through June 28, and class begins July 6!

I'm looking forward to it and would love to have you join in the fun!

Thank you SO much for your sweet comments about the stuff I do for my kids. I'm not trying to be a super mom or anything, just trying to encourage their imagination and creativity whenever and however I can. I hope they will have fond memories of their childhood, like I have of mine. *Ü*

Thanks, as always for stopping by. Who knows maybe I'll work on that other photo I wanted to use and post another layout before the day is done.

Another great layout. I wonder if I should get into the digi world of scrapbooking? Here, you've just taken this picture this week and you've already got it scrapped. Awesome job.

Sweet layout! Love the bright colors! And, guess who bought a Slip 'n Slide Double Wave Rider just like yours last night? Every Grandma needs one, right? Weekend fun is what I'm thinking. The boys saw it and are thinking along those lines, too!
