Meet Georgina Giraffe...

100_5485  Isn't she cute? This was a free pattern from the Lion Brand yarn website. I signed up for their newsletters and the other day this adorable giraffe came through. She's about 15 inches tall from the top of her horns to the bottom of her feet. I started her last night and finished earlier this afternoon. I made her for Amy's best friend, Hattie, who just celebrated her 8th birthday this past weekend. The family went to Oregon and just got back to school today. I planned on making her a kitty cat, since Hattie loves cats, but when this critter showed up, I couldn't resist. I can make her a kitty for her birthday party, I'll bet. Both Hattie and her mom loved her!

I sort of had to rush to make her because I wanted to have a gift ready when I saw Hattie after school today. I planned on making it while they were gone, but you can see by my recent posts that I got a little distracted. LOL It occurred to me last night that they were due back today, so I got right to work. Luckily the pattern is easy to follow and she came together quite nicely, if I do say so myself.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great Wednesday!

You are soooo clever. That is the cutest giraffe I have seen and to whip it up so quickly.

Jeanne,
I can't get over how productive you are. I had been looking at doing Amigurumi for over a year but, always seem to have something else to do. Then I start seeing you whip them out so quickly. I'm super impressed. I have been enjoying your blog. You are always busy that is for sure.
