Since it's so spring-like this week (temps in the 70s F), I felt like using some butterflies on my card. I remembered this card made by Julie Cameron of Julie Cameron's Studio blog and decided to case it (copy and steal everything, for those who aren't familiar with the acronym). I really like Julie's cards. She is terrific at simple, but beautiful designs.
I was excited to use Making Memories paper from Chloe's Closet line again. The buttons are also from Chloe's Closet. I added DMC embroidery floss in colors that coordinated with the buttons.
The card itself is self explanatory I think. I used Martha Stewart butterfly punches. One for the larger ones on the outside of the card(the blue ones are Indian Corn Blue cardstock), and the trio butterfly punch for the ones inside the card. I inked all the edges with CTMH ink...Buttercup and Indian Corn Blue and also PTI's Summer Sunrise on the dotted butterflies as I thought that color worked better than straight orange. I used Fiskars new Scallop border punch as well. Sentiments are from PTI, Birthday Basics. I added some gold rhinestones (Michaels) on the bodies.
I am tickled that I actually did something on the inside of the card, so it is ready for the next time I need a birthday card. Now if I could be disciplined enough to do that for more cards, I wouldn't scramble at the last minute nearly as often. LOL
Now I need to go shoo the girls outside to enjoy the lovely weather. Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great day.

Very pretty card! Love the butterflies and the colors are wonderful. I know what you mean about the inside of cards. It would be so much easier to just do it all at once.
that is so pretty, just enough to make me forget the cold outside and think about spring which is soon to come (hopefully) Great card as always
Beautiful card, Jeanne! And the inside is just a delight. LOVE the colors, too. Spring is just around the corner...
Very pretty! All the colors match perfectly! Great job!
