Hello! We (Amy and I) had a bit of a restless night last night. She wanted to sleep on the couch so she could be close to me. That meant that I hung out with her all night waking up every time she moaned or coughed. Jessica came out for a short while saying she was lonely and she curled up on top of me. It was kinda squishy. Then she decided she wasn't so lonely after all and she went back to her bed. Because Amy didn't go to school today, she could sleep in and sleep in she did, til almost 8am. Amy, on the other hand was wide awake at 6am or so. She's soooooo tired, but soooooo not sleepy. Sigh. She's had a fever all day, goes up and down according to when she took her ibuprofen or acetaminophen. At least it hasn't climbed back up to the 105 she had last night!
You can tell she isn't feeling well when she doesn't want her picture taken...
She's whipping the blanket back over her head. I know, I am a mean mommy for taking one when she didn't want me to, but I thought it was funny. Please excuse the mess around the house...LOL I guess I could have used PSE to show you just Amy...but what the heck this is what it looks like around here!
Oh and you can plainly see the pattern for the latest project I made...
Jessica's Little Baby Giraffe...who is nameless at the moment, but I kinda like Ginny. I was searching for crocheted dinosaurs (for Amy) and came across the pattern in my search. Jessica was looking over my shoulder at the time and squealed with delight when she saw it. So, of course, I had to make it for her. I would have been done earlier today, but I fell asleep when she was at school. Go figure...Amy won't nap, but Mommy took one...you know I was tired if I did that!
Here's a comparison of the size next to Amy's giraffe...
Oh and Jessica told me earlier today..."Mom, you're kind of crafty...do you think you can help me make a leprechaun trap?" I guess there is some sort of contest at school. I just giggled to myself at the "kind of crafty" part.
I'm thinking since Amy hasn't kicked this fever, she's going to be at home with me again tomorrow...
Great...Jessica just asked about the trap again....just what does a leprechaun trap look like????

Looks like an 'action' photo to me. She had to have whipped that afghan over her head pretty darned fast. As for what it looks like "around here," it looks like home (comfy with a pretty wood floor!). I hope Amy perks up soon, and Jessica doesn't get it. Glad you got a nap today, too. As for the nameless giraffe, SO cute! Take care!
Awww, poor little sweetie. . .I hope she feels better soon, and that you are keeping up on your Vitamin C and sleep! She's such a cutie, though, even when sick.
Poor Amy! and poor you! That's so rough when they don't want to sleep and you're so exhausted to boot. I hope that she's better real soon. And the critters are just adorable!
Oh, I hope she is better soon!
I love, love, love the new baby giraffe! You are so awesome! I think you should start selling these on your blog. Isn't there a website to sell handmade items? They are treasures!
I was just thinking about getting Tanner a beanie baby giraffe. Are they still around? Let us know the name when the little critter gets one.
Your giraffe is so cute.
I hope your little one improves soon and you get a good nights sleep.
