Angel on a Cloud Card

100_5501 Happy Saturday to you! I hope you have had a great first day to your weekend. Our family went to the annual National Western Stock Show this morning to wander around and pet a few animals. It was pretty crowded, but fun.

After we got home, I headed to my little corner and did some creating. For this first card, I used a downloaded image of Hey Cupid! from All That Scraps. I actually had colored the image the other day, using Prismacolor Pencils, odorless mineral spirits and blending stumps. I added the Stickles and set it aside to dry. I didn't get a chance to get back to the image until this afternoon. I had planned to do something entirely different with the image, but what I tried looked awful, so this is "plan B." My inspiration came from Becca Feeken's recent blog post that you can see here. I really liked how she nested the hearts to cut them out. I pop-dotted the red heart onto the scalloped heart and threaded the ribbon through the opening before tying the bow. I added small red rhinestones to the little angel for a little extra bling. The dp is from DCWV's Spring paper pack.

Image: CC Designs Hey Cupid downloaded image
Paper: Holiday Red, White cardstock (CTMH), Spring Matstack (DCWV)
Accessories: Rectangle and Heart Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, blending stumps, rhinestones, Stickles, striped ribbon (Archiver's Hot Spot)

I didn't feel like cooking dinner so I got a pizza and it's just about ready, so I'll close for now and come back a bit later with the other cards I made.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jeanne

What a cute card! Great coloring and I love the layout. I Googled the livestock show. Wow! No small affair. I grew up with critters like that - petted them, fed them, chased them, ate some of them. LOL. Glad you're having a good day and hope the pizza was good!
