Crazy Hair and a Bizzy Bee...

Happy Wednesday to you! I can't believe we are half way thru the week already!

Today is Crazy Hair Day as part of the girls' School Spirit Week and they both wanted to participate.

Amy wanted a bunch of pony tails like last year. I asked her if she wanted them braided this year for something a little different and she about hyperventilated she was so excited about that idea! Jessica's hair is "like Amy's was last year." This is quite the feat as Jessica does not like having her hair done. She says it hurts no matter how carefully I brush or despite the copious amounts of the detangler I spray on her head. Sometimes she says "ouch" when I simply pick up the brush and I haven't touched her head yet. She wanted a bunch of ponytails, but could only handle three then she said just ONE more. LOL I asked if she wanted them braided, too and she gave me an emphatic NO!

I have already worked on and completed the next project she requested! Now before you get all excited that I did it SO fast...it's a small amigurumi bee. I'm calling him Bizzy. LOL

I started him when I parked outside the school yesterday, waiting for the girls to get out. In about 20 minutes I had most of the body done and was ready to add the eyes. I would have worked on and finished him last night, but my fingers were sore from a too aggressive cuticle clipping fest I had the day before yesterday. And I did that only because I forgot my crochet hook when I went to park to pick up the girls on Monday. I couldn't work on my project and didn't have anything else to do to keep myself occupied while waiting. LOL That'll teach me to be extra sure I have all the supplies needed before heading out the door!

Anyway, the pattern for this adorable little bee and 5 other "egglings" can be found here on Etsy. Aren't they the cutest??? Gosh I love Amigurumi critters! I WAS going to make some of these as a surprise for the girls for Easter, but I neglected to hide the pattern and Jessica's eagle eyes spotted it. LOL I don't mind. I've got other things I can work on for them for Easter.

Thanks for stopping by! Not sure if I will be able to come back today as I've got lots on the to do list. Not the least of which is going to the girls' parent/teacher conferences....

Great hair!! Both girls! And detangler? When was that invented? As for "Bizzy," SO cute! ALL of those patterns are really cute. Oh, and Wal-Mart brought in some yarn to go with its needles. The only excuse I have left is lack of time. LOL. Thanks for sharing. I love to see what you're up to ...

That is some CRAZY hair! I remember those days. We would braid the girls' hair around pipe cleaners and then twist it all sorts of crazy ways. Fun times! And...I really LOVE that bee. I will have to get this pattern, because I have a little bee collection...being that I'm the QueenB and all. ;D TFS
