Knitted Rose...

I picked up a book called 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet, by Leslie Stanfield, the other day and couldn't wait to start making some flowers. Here's my first attempt. Of course, it turns out, I had to start with an advanced technique, but it wasn't too hard. I learned some fun new stitches (well, new to me anyway). For a first attempt at knitting a flower and a rose to boot, this didn't come out too bad, I don't think.

Thanks for all your sweet comments about Jessica's butterfly. She was tickled to hear about how much you liked what she made. You are so nice!

Christi asked how I added the captions in the photos of the girls getting their hair cut. I type up my posts in Windows Live Writer and there is an option to type in a watermark. Usually I just type my name, but you can type in whatever will fit and it will show up on the photo. Plus, you can change the font and the font size. It's really neat. You can download Live Writer here if you are interested in checking it out. You have to register, I think, but it's all free. Free is good!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your visit and your comments when you leave them. Have a great day!

Jeanne
