Well, I’ve done all that I’m feeling up to doing out in the craft room today. Thought I’d share some pictures to show you the slow, but hopefully, steady progress.
Remember, this is what it looked like when I got started. I sort of always felt like this unit could fall on top of me. I’m so short, I needed a chair to reach the top. So, I reconfigured it to be a little less overwhelming.
Here’s what it looks like now. I can’t even begin to tell you how frustrating getting it to this point was. Not because it is so hard to do, but because the cable ties I was using to put the grids together kept breaking! OY! They are old, but I didn’t really want to stop to go get more, so I was yelling ARGHHHHH, each time one wouldn’t work. LOL It’s a little less intimidating now, don’t you think?
I don’t have a before shot of this, but I’m working on utilizing these shelves better. Given the hard time I was having with the cable ties, I wasn’t in the mood to alter the grids, but I did reinforce them a bit. This may not stay this way at the end of this process, but for now it seems to be okay. I have the rest of the pattern paper (old, but not CTMH) that I decided to keep. I am trying to create areas of each item. This is obviously the button and ribbon area. For now, I put the felt and fabric in the mailing box you see. I’m not sure just how to store the fabric/felt. Any ideas from you sewers out there?
And I also worked on cleaning up my work table. I suppose I could sit down and create something now, if I had the energy, that is! LOL
The floor in this area is cleared out, too. Not so, the rest of the space, but you already know that from the pictures I shared earlier today.
There are some playoff games on tv, so I think I will put my feet up and watch as well as work on Steve’s socks!
Thanks for stopping by. If you are working on your space, and have a blog, take pictures and let us know in the comments. We can encourage you like you are me! If you see something you think I can do or store better, please, please, please, let me know!

You've done a lot of work Jeanne. I have purged quite a bit from my area but still have a lot to do in the organizing area.
