Hello there! I've been in spring cleaning mode most of this week. I know you have been impressed at how quickly I've completed projects lately. Well, part of the reason is I have been neglecting all but the basics of housework. The other day I saw how bad it's gotten and felt embarrassed and mad at myself. So, I've spent oodles of time this week redeeming myself. And the sad part is...I'm not done! But, my kitchen is darn near sparkling clean as are the two cars we own. I was going to work on the living room today, but decided to "reward" myself by seeing if I could finish off the teacher gifts. So I pulled out the ironing board and the sewing machine and fiddled and futzed and managed to complete the task, well before the last day of school (May 28th)! I'm pretty pleased at how they look and hope the teachers like them. What do you think? In case you can quite tell, those are pencils that the ribbon is attached to.
Not too much else to report at the moment, just thought I'd pop in and let you know I'm still alive and hope to finish redeeming myself soon...(hee, hee)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Jeanne

Your cross-stitched gifts are beautiful, and I am sure they will be treasured!! By the sounds of it, you and I have been fretting about the same thing. My house (aka apartment) is a wreck, and it's time to get serious about cleaning it. I was kind of bummed that I didn't get any of it done on those long weekends that have now come to an end. This weekend ... maybe! As for you, I hope you finish soon so that you can get back to some creative time. All work and no play ... you know the rest. LOL. Take care!
These are great! They are going to love them!
Girl, do you sleep? How in the world do you have time for all these wonderful projects. I am sure the teachers will love this!
Jeanne, they turned out BEAUTIFUL!! And I love your clever touch of hanging them from pencils -- you think of everything, and I know their teachers are going to treasure these!
And I hear ya on the housework thing...I cleaned for the better part of two days before my parents got here (and I could've kept going had I not run out of time). It's not always fun doing it (okay, it's really not much fun at all), but it sure looks and feels good once you're finished --well worth the effort to feel good about your surroundings, your use of time, and for your family and friends. I just wish I could find a way to stamp while doing it. lol
ROFL! "Girl do you sleep?" My sentiments EXACTLY! LOL!
I LOOOOOOVE the finished projects! The teachers are going to LOOOOOOOVE them, too :)
Congrats and good luck on your deep cleaning! I just did a "light cleaning" of my house... need to do the deep cleaning (baseboards, vents, move the couches, etc) when I get back from IA.... ewww. LOL!
Have a great day J!!!
Hugs!
