Happy Mother's Day! Would you care for some tea?
I just finished this project last night. It was easier than I thought it would be and also a bit more of a pain than I thought it would be. LOL I found the pattern in the Nov/Dec 2008 issue of Crochet Today magazine. It's the same issue that had the pattern for the wristlets I made for Susi a while ago. The pattern called for using a silver thread, but my plan was to make the set for a Christmas gift for the girls and I couldn't find the silver at that time, so I got gold instead. I actually like how it looks. I took this photo just a little while ago and it's rainy right now, so I apologize if it looks a little dark. The "pain" part of this is I had to use two strands of thread at the same time and I've not done that before. Once I got the hang of it, it got a little easier to manipulate.
Here's a shot of what Amy drew while waiting for the teacups to be made...
I'm impressed with what she drew and wanted to preserve the moment.
Hope you have an awesome day today. We're off to have breakfast...

Happy Mother's Day, Jeanne! OMGoodness! I LOVE this tea set. As you've probably read on my blog, I used to own a TeaRoom, where we hosted tea parties, and I am a BIG fan of all things TEA. This is gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous! WHERE in the world do you find the time to create all this delicious-ness? You are amazing and I always, always, look forward to what you are going to create next.
You little Amy's drawing is so sweet! You've got an artist in the making there. Your kids must love you to pieces...
