What I Did Today...

Well, organizing in my craft room wasn't what I worked on today. Sorry! But I DID get a completely inspiring email from my friend Gloria (in Utah) *Ü* showing the progress she's made in her space. Wow. I asked her if I could share here, but am waiting for her response. I'm tickled silly to think little old me inspired someone else in my never ending quest to be better organized.

No, what I did today was FINISH STEVE'S SOCKS! LOL

Oh my goodness, what a relief this is! I feel like I have been working on them forever and I'll just bet you are glad I'm done, so I'll quit talking about working on them. hee, hee! Dang, but a guy's foot is way longer than the girls' feet. LOL Anyway, I pulled one onto my foot and it seemed to fit mine okay (if a tad long), so I think they should fit Steve's foot well.

I was able to get them done because my family went to Winter Park today with our friend Dave to do some tubing! The girls have never been so it was a new adventure for them. So, I had the house to myself all day and got to watch the playoff games in peace. And work on the socks until I was done (which actually only took til the half-time of the Vikings game. Then I switched over to Amy's giraffe.

I chose not to go tubing because I wanted the girls to just enjoy their time without a nervous mommy around to possibly hinder their fun. Plus, it was nice temperature wise down here and going purposely to the cold didn't appeal to me. And let's be honest, a day alone was really appealing, too! So everyone had a good day in our family. Even the dog got a few treats that he doesn't normally get. Win, win for everyone! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me ramble on about these socks. Now you get to listen to me ramble on about Amy's giraffe! Aren't you lucky?

Have a great week!

Oh, I totally get it! I love my "me" time!!! I'm amazing that you knit socks. Wow. I guess that's how they all were made once-upon-a-time. But it just seems so incredible! Ok. I'll stop now.

Glad you enjoyed your day - have a wonderful week!
Hugs.

Sounds like a good day was had by all! Those socks are awesome. Like Sharli, I find it amazing that you make them.

Can't wait to see the giraffe. I hope your friend lets you share her photos, too. Nothing like seeing what someone else gets done. LOL.

Have a great week, dear friend!

You are VERY inspiring! You inspire me all the time.
The only reason my spot is clean is that the cats are in the basement at night and they get up on my counter and mess with stuff (and throw up on it) So I HAVE to put everything away every time...sigh...
The socks are awesome...! rather you than me though...Walmart socks are just fine for my hubby hee hee.

Sounds like a perfect day to me! You did an excellent job on those socks, but then your crocheting is masterful. You inspire me to do more and better. Thank you

Steve's socks are sooooo nice, Jeanne!! I'm sure he'll love them. They're so dressy looking. You do such beautiful work.

I hope your girls had a wonderful time tubing (I know what you mean about being the nervous nelly type...and for some reason hubbies and kiddos just don't appreciate it -lol), and I totally understand your wanting to stay home {alone!}. I do that every chance I get too; unfortunately, it's just not all that often.

big hugs to you!
