Celebrate, Sending My Love, Hello cards

I found a work light in the garage and picked up some Reveal light bulbs, so these pictures are taken with light from both sides. I think they look pretty decent.

Lisa's Creative Corner is a blog I really am enjoying. She creates such fun cards like this one. I changed the colors, but cased everything else. Thanks, Lisa for inspiring! One little twist on this card, I used a scrap circle as a mask over the image and inked a sponge in Chocolate ink. Then starting from the center of the of the scrap, I put down the sponge and pushed it toward the edge and off the scrap, creating an interesting look for the inside of the card. I didn't take a picture of it though. You can sort of see it toward the bottom of the circle. I also sanded and inked the edges to add interest.

When I made my quick run to Joann's, of course I had to see if there were other paper packs I liked. And this Classic K-Bailey pad drew me in. Again, I love that they have two sides and solids that coordinate with the patterns. Makes it so much easier to create a card! I was inspired by a card I saw on Nichole Heady's Capture the Moment blog, but I've used completely different colors. The card on the blog is done in pinks, using Papertrey products. My only Papertrey product is the use of the stamp set. LOL But the basic design is the same.

I loved this card on Melissa Bickford's Just Dandy blog. But if I want to get the paper she used, I have to order online. I am not sure that I want other items at the website and the shipping cost is greater than the cost of one pad, so I decided to use other papers. The design is the same. I liked the butterflies really well in this Sweet Berry paper pack from K&Co (again-funny how you overlook something you see all the time, but never really LOOK at-I'm really drawn to these K&Co papers and the fact that you can get them in small pads, which is perfect for card making)

And now my girls would like me to snuggle with them before bedtime. Hope you have a great night and a super week!

All three of these cards are great, and yes, we seem to have an appreciation for the same things. My party was great as was my club meeting. I'm exhausted!

All three of these cards are so pretty, but I think my favorite is the butterflies K&Co paper with the blue belly band -- such a fun and happy card!

I can't keep up with all your artwork -- sure wish I had that much time to play! Of course I'd have a lot more time if I weren't on this computer so much.... ;)
