I've Been Thinking About You-Flap Card

Seeing this cute card sent me to my inbox to find the Splitcoast Weekly Inkling newsletter with the tutorial on how to create it. You can find the tutorial here if you don't get the newsletter. I liked the card when I first saw the newsletter, but I am often stumped when it comes to creating a new card, unless I have a specific inspiration. I can tweak that card, but to come up with the design is tough for me. Or rather takes a long time and I have little enough time to play without getting bogged down by deciding what to use (which takes me forever, I'm too wishy-washy). Okay, so here's my end result.

I used Holiday Red ink and my Dove Blender to fill in the red on the flower. Wasn't sure I liked it so, add the Stickles and some bling to dress it up a bit.
Credits:
Textured Cardstock (DCWV), Chocolate (CTMH)
Patterned paper: Holiday Red gingham (CTMH)
Ink: Chocolate, Holiday Red (CTMH)
Ribbon: Michaels (yep, that sale was terrific)
Scallop Circle punch, Circle Coluzzle, Circle Punch
Black pen for stitching detail
Stickles and Rhinestone for bling

I tried taking the photo for Jessica's next lesson today. I just looked at them and none of them work, so back to the drawing board tomorrow.

It's glorious today and the weather is expected to get up to the 70s the next few days! Oh my!

Well, I'm off to get supper going. Decided to grill some hamburgers-yum!
Have a great night and hope your week is super!

I love that gingham (and I think I may still have a few sheets stashed back). Great color combo. Love the bling.

This is very cute. The red and white gingham is just right. I have a good stash of gingham but am starting to ration the red . . . CTMH would be wise to bring it back! Have a good week, Jeanne. You've provided me with a week's worth of inkspiration!! Thanks.
