I got to hole up in my craft room today and had fun making several things! I will put them up in separate posts.
This first one was inspired by one I saw here. Since I don't own any Nestabilities hearts, I had to improvise. I used my George and Basic Shapes cartridge to cut a 4 inch heart (well, 2 hearts). I then ran the hearts through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. I sanded the dots to make them white. Going back to my Cricut, I cut a couple of flowers from the same cartridge...3 inches I believe. Then I cut some of the petals off. Adhering them to the top part of the basket makes them look sorta like strawberry tops, maybe? The post I linked above will also direct you to the pattern needed to create the little strawberries.
I chose to punch two flowers and put a brad through to make the tops of those little berries. The colors I used are Holiday Red and Topiary. The ribbon is from my stash, as are the brads, and I don't remember where I picked them up. I just played around with creating the basket...I eyed things rather than measure.
I thought this might be a cute idea for a little gift. You might be able to put a Hershey's kiss in the strawberry or add some of those strawberry looking candies in the basket.
Thanks for visiting and thank you Lauren of My Time, My Creations for a fun basket idea.

Wow! What an awesome job of "making do!" I never would have thought to use the Swiss Dots embossing folder for this. Cute!
I've seen these baskets lately, but using the heart and the Swiss Dots to make a strawberry is so unique! VERY cute!!! And I love how you folded little 'berries' for inside the basket. So creative and fun!
