Another Card Inkspired by Kathi!

Kathi inkspired me again with this card, which is a sketch challenge offered by Beate John on her Fresh and Fun blog. (I hope the link works...it was experiencing some server problems as I typed this). What struck me most about Kathi's card were the shimmery flowers. So I when I commented on her card, she very sweetly emailed me (I will respond in a bit, Kathi) and let me know what she thought I could buy to make my own. She used a Create A Shade paint from Close To My Heart and since I'm not a consultant anymore, I didn't have it in my stash. But she told me she thought Delta Ceramcoat Pearl Finish paint would work. So that was one of the other purchases I made at Michaels today. (Kathi is such a GREAT enabler!!) I squirt a little bit of paint onto a plate and added re-inkers (2 drops of Baby Pink, 2 drops of Buttercup, and 1 drop of Crystal Blue) to get the colors I wanted for the flowers. I painted them and let them dry for a bit. While those were drying, I created the rest of the card using Precious Paisley background and texture papers. I added the lines with Crystal Blue marker, for something different. The sentiment (and I thought of Kathi especially when I chose it) is from the Because of You stamp set (Close To My Heart). The brads are Baby Pink, Heavenly Blue and Buttercup. The rhinestone flower is from gift set I got at Archiver's recently. It came in an exclusive gift set for Archiver's last Spring Fling weekend. Go figure, I haven't used the stamp set yet, but I am using the rhinestones. LOL
Thanks for looking! Still more to come!

Cute!! Your flowers are gorgeous! I'm glad that paint worked. It was kind of a guess that made sense. It's not like CTMH invented it or anything. I really like that particular card sketch and will probably use it often. It's great for those little scraps of paper that one can't seem to make themselves throw away.

You have been busy. I have some of this paper left, and love the idea of the four rectangles. I am glad you cased it...looks good.
