Flower Card

How's that for a boring title? I didn't know what else to call it. I got the idea for this card from one I'd seen on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. Click here to see it. I know I liked it because I had two copies of the card printed out! I thought it was pretty and spring-like. I knew I had a flower stamp similar to the one she used. I found it in the Friendship Flowers set by CTMH. I stamped it in Baby Pink, on Baby Pink cardstock, then stamped the image on white and offset it just a bit before cutting it out. I added it with pop dots. The pink polka dotted paper is a piece I had sitting on my table. (I used PTI's Polka Dot Basics to stamp it). The stem is stamped in Sweet Leaf. I added some glitter glue on the center and finished it off with some grosgrain ribbon.

The striped paper is some I bought at Michaels last summer! The yellow is Buttercup. I ran a strip of Baby Pink cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder and then sanded it a bit to show the white. The little baubles I picked up a Michaels in the floral area. They are acrylic discs and are similar to the baubles I've been seeing on lots of cards lately-while not many colors are available, suffice it to say I have enough of these things to last me a lifetime now! If I could figure the best way to color the clear ones, I'd be all set!
These cards I'm showing you are ones I made today. I still have the rest of the ones from yesterday to share, but they will have to wait for another day.
Thanks for visiting!

You make the cutest cards! From now on, when I'm going to send someone a card, I'm coming to your blog for inspiration! I especially like the jelly bean one a few posts down--wish I had seen that before I packed up "care packages" to my 3 flown-the-coop kids.

Such pretty spring colors! Oh, how I wish spring was here and would stay. I am ready for all the pretty colors and flowers. Great card!

This one looks just like spring! So pretty. I'm going to have to take another look at that stamp set soon. Thanks for the inspiration! Oh, and the little pink "bubbles" (for lack of a better work after midnight), are they Dew Drops?

Very cute! As for coloring clear baubles, a trick I've used with page pebbles is to punch out a piece of cardstock with an appropriate-sized circle punch, run it through the Xyron 150 and place it on the back. Not knowing exactly what your baubles are I don't know if it would work, especially if it has a back to it. If that back comes off you could probably make something of it.

What a happy, spring card! Very cute, Jeanne.

A while back I read on Lauren Meader's blog that she colors those Michael's baubles with Copic markers, and they apparently cover them really well. HTH. ;)
