Another Medallion Card

I have been so enamored of Becca Feeken's Circle Frame cards that I've been collecting those corner punches. After I made the pumpkin card today, I had the scrap of My Mind's Eye dp on my table. It made me think of the circle frame card and tutorial. 100_4900 So, I made another one.  Ü

By now I think you must have realized that I picked up some new B plates for my Cuttlebug. LOL The background of this piece uses the Welcome Baby folder(found today at the show). It comes with some dies as well, but I can see me using the folder way more than the dies. One of the parts of the folder is an open space for your sentiment. Rather than stamp a sentiment, I cut a piece of the dp to fit. I almost added some ribbon, but in the end chose not to.

The punch is called wrought iron and is used on CTMH's Goldrush cardstock. It's matted on the textured Autumn Terracotta. I used my circle Nestabilities to cut out the circles. I sponged some Goldrush and Autumn Terracotta inks and added some pearls.

And there you have my efforts to celebrate the day. I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared.

Here's another little off-topic tidbit that I just discovered about Live Writer. Yesterday after I posted my project, I was playing around with Live Writer and started clicking things to see what would happen. I discovered that there is a way to add your watermark! Those who are veteran LW users probably know this, but I was tickled. Most pictures of my artwork do not have a watermark and the main reason is I am lazy! I would have to start up Photoshop Elements or use my Paint program and it's another step in the whole posting process. So I don't usually do that.

If you have your LW set up like mine, there is a sidebar on the right of the screen. When you click on Insert Picture the sidebar changes to what you need to add your picture. If you look at the top of that sidebar you'll see three tabs. Image, Advanced, Effects are the names on the tabs. If you click on Effects you'll see the word Effects: with a green plus sign or red minus sign. Below it is a big white box. Click on the green plus sign and you'll see an option called Overlays. Click on that and you'll see Watermark! You can type in what you want, change the font and size of the font and even select where you want it to show up on the picture. Pretty cool, huh? Well, for me it means you'll see my watermark on my photos from now on! Ü

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend. We'll see if I manage to wander into my corner again at some point...

Whoa! This one is a knockout!! I love the colors, and those circle frames are so cool. No punches tho )-: Put 'em on the "list," I guess.

Holy Moly! This card is beautiful. I have seen her cards too and you made a great medallion. I haven't tried one yet. Love it!

I'm sure I say this every time I get a chance to stop by here but I absolutely DON'T know how you are able to come up with so many gorgeous cards!!! You are able to create so consistently, too! It seems like I get to do a few things and then it will be weeks before I get to play again. Good for you!! I love to see what you create. I also have to say thanks for always stopping by and leaving love for me. I don't know where you find the extra hours you must put into making that time. I feel like I've "lost touch" with so many because I haven't been able to find the time to blog surf as often as I'd like to. THANKS!!!
Oh, and BTW - my stamping has been pretty minimal since I started digi which is why you don't see many stamping samples on my blog. I have posted a few over the past year and probably have a few more that I need to photograph and upload. Digi is easier to post because I don't have to photograph half of the time (except my hybrid goodies)!!

I've missed stopping by, and I can already tell that I've missed out on a LOT! Your three fall/pumpkin-themed cards that you shared today are all so pretty, Jeanne! I'm glad that you had a good time at the show and found a few new toys to bring home with you...AND you're already making time to do more than admire them on the shelf. ;) tfs

Wow. Oh. Wow. This is so so pretty! So you tried Becca's method...I've been wanting to, but I'm just not brave enough. Your card turned out beautifully. You should be proud. I love it!
